I purchased this American P Bass (3 tone sunburst, rosewood fretboard) online from Musicians Friend for $899. I could've picked it up locally from Guitar Center for the same price, but I saved about $70 in taxes by mail ordering it. Hey, every dollar counts! Musicians Friend waived the shipping charge on this item; I ordered it on a Tuesday night and they shipped it on Wednesday. Nice....

Is there any more distinctive sound than a P Bass? This model nails it, dead on, and it has classic Fender looks.

Nothing to dislike about this bass, but I did need to tweak the setup when I received it. If you are not comfortable doing your own setups, or you have no one to do it for you, DO NOT mail order a bass!

This is where the American made Fenders really stand out from the Standard (made in Mexico) Fenders.... Vintage spec pickups; graphite reinforced neck, and string through body construction.

The American made Fender Precision is the type of bass that you buy and keep for a lifetime. Get one and cherish it. I know I will.

UTILIZATION

Haaa the handle, so good handle which is not moving and very enjoyable to play.
Weight level, the bass is lighter than Jazzbass.
Good access to acute even though I spent my life not in the area
Level sound, easy ... low even with a passive high output level at the beginning I did not use the switch gradually I realized its worth.
Depending on the rooms and pieces I change my sound with this button ... of happiness.

OVERALL OPINION

I have 2 years.
The tuning is not moving, the bridge is good and the handle is aging very well, for one very good price / quality ratio.
I took the personal touch of maple with this low ...
It is my first bass "serious" after Mexican Fender and other brands, so you can feel the difference when playing Sonmez and also the build quality and parts used.

It has 20 frets, it has a micro side american precision bass split coil position in mid
the bridge is an american throught body string or rope passes through the body for better sustain (the strings are Fender taperwound 045,110)
There are two potentiometers for volume and one tone over another there is a switch S1 on the volume knob that allows the circuit to pass the microphone of a parallel series
The profile of the handle is the handle c itself is in maple and rosewood or maple fingerboard (mine is maple). Fender has also incorporated two carbon rod al interior so that the handle does not move to a thumb

UTILIZATION

UTILIZATION

Setup: I would say that being nice has Altogether two different sounds by turning the tone knob.

S-1 switch: nice gadget for announcement effect. unusable because actually put a micro precision parallel it loses all its punch (and half the output level) for a relative accuracy of game due to the ergonomics of the bass:

large body, large round (but very sweet), fat frets: not at all made to fast play (funk, fusion, metal, prog etc ...) but this brand new model is lighter than the models "vintage".

play sitting poses no problems.

access is limited to treble I think: for 21 frets, the climb is strenuous! (Comparing with other models in series: warwick, cort, ibanez, etc ...)

This is not the best bass for slap, but it's manageable with (a lot) of time and patience.

That said, it's comfortable like an old pair of slippers. Do not buy blindly, no no. But this applies to any low.

When you want to do blues, country, rock, hard rock, this is ideal. This bass is basically good but basic.

SOUNDS

That is: it is the strong point (thank goodness or I would see no reason why it is so expensive). It goes with all types mentioned above, fits easily into the mix, the bass lines are felt just right.
Versatility, paradoxically so, since few sound eventually, but who are very mat due to a subtle balance that puts forward the low frequencies, you need a group.

OVERALL OPINION

I bought it for the same reasons as everyone I think: it's simple, it's beautiful (the tastes and colors), it sounds, and especially it's solid (I was on a Cort before ). I play with for 2 years.

Its strength, the sound (yes there is one). While it sounds not like an old precision, low fat less, but in favor of the mediums and treble especially. It can vary (a little). Lighter too.

His biggest problem is the ergonomics in my opinion, which greatly limits the possibilities. But it probably contributes to the sound reproduction ..

I sell almost 2 times but the sound is inimitable. This is far from perfect low, so my advice: if you do not already know your style and want a good bass, do not buy a precision. If you want to do blues, rock, and that it, or you have money to buy you more bass, it's a very good choice. Try before you buy. The sound varies greatly from one model to another Fender, I think.

UTILIZATION

When I received this bass, it was just unplayable! (Factory sucks!) But after the maker of my talent, I could découvrire the top of the low: the handle. pleasant to the touch, fast (despite frets a large can) and so easy to adopt. As for weight, it can seem a heavy at first but you get used to very quickly because it is well distributed. Do you get a good sound easy? Uh .. No! We get no sound at all, output level and flat ridiculous .. Now you remove the switch S-1 and you ask Seymour Duncan and there ... LE's "Precision" is the date!
I heard a lot about the system "S-1 Switch" but honestly I was very disappointed.

SOUNDS

Once some of these changes, this bass suits all styles, except for the slap. Although ... I play rock on a Traynor amp and HP Gallien-Krueger and that is happiness. Fat in the bass, good presence in the midrange and treble very sweet, and all this with the tone and volume all the way! Depending on how you play it, this bass delivers pallets of its very diverse, that's what makes me love it.

OVERALL OPINION

I have been using one years ago and now I love everything about this bass! I also have a Rickenbacker 4003 and a Jazz Bass but I still have a weakness for beautiful p'tit Precision.
The value for money? it just takes too much thinking, because it is still expensive suite has all my changes to make this worthy of a Fender bass.
I would do the same choice, but without the "S-1 Switch"

American Bass series produced in the country of Uncle Sam, it possde 20 frets, a volume knob and one Tone. Add this button a switch that allows a configuration which approximates the jazz bass. The handle is in Rabl.

UTILIZATION

The handle? a joy, it blends perfectly in the hand, one might think that it is the custom, but this can vary according to the morphology of the individual. Access in acute is perfect. For the form, we like it or not, but the surprise comes from the weight. Any lgre this low, and the diffrence is striking when compared with a jazz bass. OVERALL OPINION

I use it for a month, and nothing wrong. I love its weight, its form and its unique Fender. I tried before buying a craftsman 4, good bass, musicman, oh it's a great ouiiiii low CHRE a little, but my heart was bent to Lo and if c'tait again, I will sign again.

- New patent (more yellow than before, trs also beautiful with the handle stocky, in the spirit series Vintage, Classic 50)

- Volume and tonality simple but ffective trs.

Beautiful finish, perfect joints, new reinforced tui (very tough class, better than the molded MODEL) MODEL trs ropes properly adjusted average I get an Ernie Ball above.

UTILIZATION

The handle is trs enjoyable and comfortable for a bassist who loves beefy bass for (and wider pais a Jazz Bass), I have a Musicman Stingray 4 (92) is taken as close enough in hand.

Accs in acute satisfying (for me). Comfort gnral perfect, but reasonable consquent weight. In a perfect shape for me.
Easily obtained a sound is a P-Bass, not making his head to find. A low rock and roll, but a low trs class for a lot of finesse in the game

SOUNDS

I play a lot of mediator in a rock trio o the bass has a strong prsence. It has a trs big sound (for low patant without prampli !!!), rich bass, a medium trs Submitted, PB CHARACTERISTICS Fender sound, the treble is singing and dynamic , easy dosing. In my opinion she is comfortable in lots of areas (even in the slap, if you like the sound slap 70's, I like).

The only limitation may be the jazz / fusion. It REPRESENTATIVES srieuse a competitor for my Stingray. I pat the quality MODEL-General for the new American standard. It is not given for a simple low (1200 euros) but I MODEL RALIS is perfect, a high quality finish.

More importantly, what potato, it gives me lots of ides is happiness. I was looking for some time for a passive bass complter my Musicman, in a simple mind. I had a Squier vintage modified TB, excellent finish, big sound roots, but not enough versatility, and especially not the best mediums for P-Bass. I also test High Way Jazz Bass, Jazz Bass U.S., 50 Fender Classic (very pretty and enjoyable Mexican), Squier P-bass vintage modified (very good value), Fender U.S. P S1-Bass, American Vintage Reissue 62 (high class micro fabulous, but for the price of the default lis design vintage: mcaniques inverse skinny bridge, for a low price draisonnable as basic the PB).

OVERALL OPINION

Achetercemment.

Assets:

- The look 62 PB
- Remarkable finish
- The tui srieux
- SOUND
- Potato incredible
- The expressiveness of the microphone (many shades)

Cons:

- While the price of the same (price of a used Stingray)
- Grate competition with my Musicman

The ratio quality price is right even if we correct Whereas the finish is the lowest premium is more than a "standard" I think it is far from approximations of s S1 Series

The violin is what it is, not bad!
weight is honorable, big reproach over time, the handle tends to move
in terms of sound, coupled with a ampeg BA115 Repeat ', that sounds but c is not the top (the sound is mushy, but it comes much of the amp) against transplanted directly from an audio interface for recording, is c full happiness! It was at this occasion that I have found the usefulness of the switch S1
the sound is warm and well rounded

SOUNDS

On a rock and electro, it works well. slap in c is frankly not that good
I couple the beast on an Ampeg BA115 and I occasionally use a Boss DD3 delay it.
c is a good bass for the recordings especially live because of its weight and lack of precision in the treble and bass in his drool is suitable especially for rock

the -: weight, price / quality ratio
before I played on Ibanez (handles-highway), I also played PLO, and I recently tested a lag, we will say that this is relatively low in a register versatile rock

The Fender American Series Precision Bass is an American made bass guitar that has a single pick up and controls for both volume and tone over this pick up. It is a pretty standard bass in terms of characteristics, but since all the parts are made at top quality, this is one of the best bass guitars out there.

UTILIZATION

I'm not sure what the neck of the P-Bass is made out of, but it has a great feel to it and is extremely easy to play. It is fluid feeling and is easy to play all around the neck, including the very top notes. The bass is about average in weight and the shape is the standard P-Bass shape that we have all come to know and love. Getting a great sound from the P-Bass couldn't be easier if you are a good player - just plug it in and wail away!

SOUNDS

The Fender American Series Precision Bass is awesome for all types of music, but I usually use it mostly for rock and pop. However, it is suitable for just about any type of music you would like to use it for. I usually plug the P-Bas into a Fender Bassman amp and I have used this set up both for live use and in the recording studio, both with great success. Throwing a bit of overdrive into the chain is quite effective and cool, but I usually just use the P-Bass with a clean signal, as it suits my tastes best. Overall, the tone quality of the P-Bass is unique and full of life and brilliance.

OVERALL OPINION

I've been using the Fender American Series P-Bass for about four years and it continues to be one of the best bass guitars that I have played. I love it because not only is it extremely easy to play, it has a top notch tone quality in terms of both fullness and punch. While a Fender American Series Jazz Bass is just as good of a bass guitar, both have their own unique tones and I would encourage those interested to try both out to see what will suit their needs best. The price of the P-Bass is priced right, but since it is a high end bass guitar, it isn't for the beginner, but rather for the player looking to the best bass guitar they can. If you are a bass player and have never tried a P-Bass, do so now!
