Made in Mexico, this bass is a fusion between the body of the Jazz and Precision handle. The original has a micro Accuracy Seymour Duncan SPB-3. it has an easel Ameerican Series with crossing strings. There are two models, the 2002 (model I) and the 2011 model. The difference between the two is the provision of micro, the 2002 is disposed normally be part of the E string-The side of the neck and part of the rope Re-Sol on the side of the bridge. Finally there is only one knob, one volume.
As low signature, it is in parenthesis has devoted only be used for a style of music. This is why I speak only of its use of punk and other derivatives.

UTILIZATION

Precision handle is very nice, it was well in hand, it is comfortable disappointed brief is the handle Precision anything. It is well balanced, I think its normal weight (I start having back pain in the right 3 hour snooze). And the body of Jazz is also very comfortable.
Access to acute is pretty good I think.

SOUNDS

The important point: this bass is made for punk and its derivatives (punk / rock, pop / punk etc. ..).
Do not buy it again for AC / DC, it is not made for that.
on the other hand, threw a piece of NOFX and played disappointed, and you went to see what it was used.
The sound is Punk, very modern. It is best that you go listen to the sound on the Internet.
I use a stack consisting of a Ashdown MAG 600 head EVO2, a 410 MAG and a MAG115.

OVERALL OPINION

I use since February, before I bought tried several bass, including Squier Mike Dirnt, a Fender Standard Precision and a Fender Modern Player Jazz and Epiphone Thinderbird IV. I prefer this bass, but much less versatile playing "only" punk, it does not bother me and do not regret my choice.
I recall again this is a low signature, it is not versatile do not complain that it does not sound out of Led Zeppelin and the Rolling Stones.
So I recommend this bass has all lovers of Punk / Rock and Pop / Punk.

First of all. Mark Hoppus is one of my favourite bassist. He is the bassist for Blink-182. A band i listened to from the start. I had seen them live when i made the decision i wanted one. This christmas (2004) i recieved it as a present in the Daphne Blue colour. My parents paid a little over 1000 as it came straight from the factory, there where shipping and handling payments, the local dealer shop had to make money, and what not.

What i like about this bass is the different colours it comes in (not your average colours). I love how there is only one volume knob. And i like how this is an original set up for a bass guitar (precision pickups, j-bass body). I also like how it is equiped with a "top of the line" pick up company called Seymour Duncan. The lows and the highs sound terrific and its great for shows, or just jamming with your band, or yourself. this bass is good for pop punk/rock/fast punk and what not. i would recondmend this product to someone that is looking for an original style looking bass, someone with the committment to playing music and someone who simply likes Mark Hoppus as a bass player.

there isnt really many things to say about the bass in general. except when i got mine, i noticed underneath the tuner, they accidently drilled a hole in the wrong spot. but that isnt on every make. just mine (grrr). i dont have any other complaints but for people who play metal/jazz/blues/reggae or any of that style of music. you probably wouldnt like the bass as much as people of that genre complain about the bass not having a "tone knob". but people who love the punk/rock music. this is a def. buy.

well crafted. smooth. original. ive had mine since this past christmas (december 04) and nothing has been wrong at all with it. it is greatttt quality compared to my Squier/Fender P-Bass Duluxe.

bottom line.

good bass for the buck. aka good bass for the price. best brand you can get in my thoughts. andddd well, this bass simply has it all for your typical punk rocker.

I was on my usual weekly trip down to the music store and I see this on the shelf. Only £300.00 not bad. I thought this would be handy investment as my idol is mark hoppus and also my band plays Blink type music.

I like the sleek colour (shell pink) and the easy to play P-Bass neck. I was also surprised that he configured this to a J-Bass body, which was pretty ingenious as Fender have great ideas for body styling. As I picked this up off of the shelf, I realised it was fairly heavy, quite noticably heavier than my ibaanez edb. As I started to play, what can i say! I was impressed, it had a very full sound but wasn't ruined by to litle or much tone.

I wasn't very impressed with the weight. It is a great bass guitar, and that really is all that is wrong with it. This bass guitar is drfinitly an accuired taste. If you are playing Metallica covers then this is definitly not for you.

It had a great body and a really good paintjob to it. The neck was a great length. The pick-up qualitys is very good, with me havin quality, and a crisp sound, when I play the high and low notes. if the tone setting does not suit you, remember ou have the amplifier settings to play around with. This is best played with a Mesa Boogie amp, which i very recently bought after finding out Mr Hoppus uses one aswell.

Great guitar, pick-ups, body, colour choices, neck, shape and sound. Te are not many guitar that can really compete with the level of sound this 2 pick-up bass has to offer.

I got this guitar aboout 4 months ago i have been playing bass for quite awhile and i can play pretty much anything, i got this bass from musicians friend for $490.00 and it was well worth it. I got this bass because I grew out of my old fender standard.I have been playing since i was 12 and i play every blink song because they rock and if u disagree u fuckin suck

i like the over all feel and i like they seymour and duncon pickups

i have no dislikes whatsoever

this shit is cool and is built great i was sceptic at first becausse it was made in mexico but now i no that its awesome

go buy it now its great for every fan or bass player

i got this bass at a local dealer because i've been looking for a bass that suits my playing syle for quite some time, and the mark Hoppus bass combines the sound and neck of the Fender Precision Bass and the body styleing of the Fender Jazz bass, it was a great bargain it only set me back about $450 which wasn't too bad a price for a bass of this quality.

I like the Mark Hoppus Bass for its chunky sound and smooth playablity. its easy to just plug in and go with the one volume knob and no tone knob. which is a good idea for players who really fiddle around with that knob in the first place. it also comes in a variety of unique colors.

there are very few things i dont like about the bass i think that for the most part i cant find and flaws. although it is a little heavier then most other basses.

the qualityof this unit is great it, like most fender instruments, is bulit in mexico with great precision. it is almost indestuctable like most other fenders.

overall the Mark Hoppus Fender Bass is arevolutionary idea with the classic fender feel and sound.

I purchased this bass from my local music store. I bought it because it looks awesome and sounds great.

I really like the Seymour Duncan 1/4 pound pickups, they sound great. Also the jazz body with precision sound is a great combonation. The one volume knob is great too. I like this because tone knobs are useless and only get in the way.

Absolutely nothing

This is a really well made product, and do not see anything remotely wrong with it.

Overall this is an amazing bass, and anyone looking for a good quality bass with nice sound should consider this one.

I reviejn on my mind a year after ..... ultimately it is the mediator but the very edge quickly to play the finger ... it will be a remake I do not think I will necessarily that the .. it is certainly it is not a FERDER exepionel ...
this low I passed a huge cap but a beginning is sad view these very edge ....

BUT it's still a clean and beautiful bass .....

UTILIZATION

The handle nice, I preferr the handle of a lower precision than the jazz that makes a nice mix.

a very beautiful form the well-known jazz bass with very simpa color.

SOUNDS

Good sonoriten quite nice but lacks the slamming ... sad micro lacks a bit of fishing ...

I had a precission bass and try some jazz in front of the mag to find ..
I do not know if I repeat that the ....

Made in Mexico, a knob volume, ideal for punk rock

Much to be honest right now this bass is made for the punk rock, and nothing else.

sounds a lot, but the pickups lack a bit of PCHE

I made short DSOL but ultimately there is not much things to say.

Low Mexican standard 20 frets Bridge Mexican standards, a single setting: the sound. I admit to not having trs attention to the handle but I think it is a round of jazz bass.

UTILIZATION

Few (if any) for adjusting more or less convenient to different people. the shape of the bass balance allows it to be. Nothing special to report

SOUNDS

This bass is made almost exclusively to play rock and especially modern (the microphones are off duncan not for nothing) if you are considering buying this bass for blues jazz etc. This bass is not for you. for lovers of music more or less modern sound is good to see even trs good (it's still a Mexican around 800 euros so it's not an american deluxe). Technical Info has the sound is extremely neat, but as I said trs East for a certain style of music.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for about 6 months the ratio quality / price is good for the trs trs punk underground was not too sound nickel.
