- Bridge G & L saddle lock,
- Neck and maple fingerboard fairly large (type unspecified),
- Swamp ash body,
- 2 humbucker pickups type Fullerton,
- Electronic active or passive,
- 3 knobs volume, bass and treble,
- A 3 position switch for selecting pickups (neck side)
- A 2 position switch for setting serial or parallel winding pickups (middle),
- A 3 position switch modes for passive, active or boost high frequencies (bridge side)
UTILIZATION
The handle is very comfortable to play very comfortable. We find a handle to split precision wider than my Jazzbass, but I did very well.
Access is very easy to acute,
The bass is quite light compared to my JazzBass. I must not have a model identical to that described above.
The humbucker pickups provide a warm and enjoyable compared to single coils.
The pitch correction is a bit special, it is more difficult to easily find a setting on my Jazzbass active as deluxe. By acting against it in the passive mode, which is appreciable.
I will say is that the settings are not intuitive and it's hard to understand their actions, but with practice, it is doing quite well.
SOUNDS
The sound is very versatile, although for my taste it lacks serious, but I have tried that for 1 / 2 hour on a Markbass amp head with a 4x10 "in the store ..
Having tweaked the settings on my amp with this Ampeg BA115 bass, it sounds the fire of God!
With practice and with the preamp set correctly, we move quickly from one sound to another.
This gives a great versatility with this bass.
OVERALL OPINION
I have not used a lot but it's a great bass with a violin and is very enjoyable to play! it is very well finished for a model that is not US.
But I think the preamp is illegal and that it's hard to find brands. We must spend a lot of time to get out.
For the price we will not complain too much, it's a great bass that you can buy with your eyes closed. I bought it second low to have a complementary instrument to my JazzBass USD. The only negative is, in my opinion, the active electronics which is difficult to master, but over time it is done well.
After a few days, I return to this point because with use, the active electronics of this bass is no longer a problem.
In any case it is a choice that I do it again no problem. It's a very nice bass to play and very light.
I play rock and blues and this bass fits perfectly! It has a very wide range of sounds and you just move from one type precision to the jazz bass sound very quickly.
For the price I wonder if you can do better!
