24 active active bass boxes, are two volumes and two tones. Two microphones paved Select / EMG.
This is a Hohner "Steinberger licensed" is the famous low stick. Opinions are very divided in general, to me, this is not the form that prompted me to buy it but try as I did ... I find that the body lacks a bit of ... body, precisely, but was quick to appreciate a little too low and light!
Rosewood handle (I think?), Round, fairly thick but not very wide - the strings are pretty close, like a 5 string.
The lifts are at the easel, super system, it does not move even after more than a year without playing ... against it by means of using double-string balls that are relatively expensive.
UTILIZATION
The handle is unique, but when we did ... it's hard to do without! The game can be fast and accurate if we seek is a versatile enough to lower its price range.
There is an ingenious little detail: the more perceptive will note that in view of its form, impossible to play sitting, it should slide ... in fact, like the original I suppose, Hohner has a "flip" folding, which can play sitting without any problems.
It took me a while before finding a comfortable position for the thumb of the right hand (microphone just over the body), but now more problems.
SOUNDS
Its level: huge! its strength is clearly located on the side lines of the big reggae, dub, electro, bass are very active, it's big, round, and powerful - thank you assets.
I slapper with a lot, but I admit that it lacks a little bright compared to others.
You can also get interesting sounds passive, playing with the controls - there is a very nice grain that emerges ...
OVERALL OPINION
I said above, this is not the form that pushed me to buy it, but the amazing possibilities of this range is low. Once it finds its mark, it has much to offer - I went from metal to electro with this bass without problems ...
