Funny falling back on it, that was my first bass At the time I did not know it was a copy of Precision, or even that it was a Precision, but when I realized there was something that I found frankly odd: why put mechanical oil bath ??? (If indeed there was much oil in it, I never removed) Otherwise in look that remotely resembles a Precision indeed, until Jim Harley logo that may mislead someone with vision problems (or maybe a little drunk).
In short, what I remember: the frets that border horribly whatever Truss; the handle, talk about elsewhere: carved with an ax and hard enough to play the sound while raplapla, the pots sizzling, the heavy weight ...
Not a lot of qualities to find him if not look far but since that was my first bass that makes me a little twinge still
When I tried to sell it I passed an ad in the local newspaper, Sell Low Jim Harley, etc ... maybe 300frs at the time, short, and there a type'm wondering if I sold a motorcycle "low" for that price lol
I finally managed to sell it (I do not remember + to whom by the way) and I have come a long way since. I now play Musicman Stingray on a Musicman Bongo 5 and 4HH "Dargie Delight", like what even starting with a Jim Harley can get to correct something one day
I put 2 for the sentimental side.
