I attempted to buy this bass from Muscians Friend twice, both time when it arrived it was dammaged. I ended up buying it at Guitar Center for about $235

I love everything about this bass! ESPECIALLY the price. It sounds great, especially the mids. The quality was pretty good throughout the whole bass, and it is an easy bass to upgrade. The neck is smooth and fast, but not super-skinny; it has a more vintage style neck, similar in some ways to a Prescion Bass. The stock bass comes equipped with Ernieball Slkinky strings, and the bass is approved by Musicman.

The only complaint I would have about this bass is that when I took off the pickguard to install a new pickup (A basslines musicman replacement, make sure you know waht your doing before attempting this. The basslines model is harder to install than some of the cheaper ones) I found 2 missdrilled holes. Other than that, I have no complaints. Another thing was a lack of any sort of instructions.

The construction is quite nice, and the neck fits perfectly and tightly to the body. Above i mentioned the missdrilled holes. The control cavity and the pickup hole are clean and functional, the electronics simple and easy to see what does what.

I think this is the best bass avaliable under $300. Heck mabey even $400. I've played alot of basses and none matched the sheer value of this bass. If this bass was priced at $500 when i bought it, I would have not had any second thoughts. The bass is great at plying many types of music.
