Paul Reed Smith debut the SE Bass Series with two Kestrel and Kingfisher models.
Both PRS SE Kestrel and SE Kingfisher feature a neck-through and string-through design. The basses have a very different shape but share the now classic Birds inlays and 34” scale length, among others.

- Rosewood fingerboard with 24 frets, 7.500” radius and Birds inlays

- 2 volume and a master tone knobs
- Hipshot TransTone bridge
- Finishes: Scarlet Red, Natural and Tortoise Shell
SE Kestrel:
- Alder body
- 5-ply maple and walnut nect
- Rosewood fingerboard with 7.500” radius, 22 frets and Birds inlays
- Nut width: 1.591”
- Scale length: 34”
- Hipshot HB6 tuners
- 2 SE 4B S Treble and Bass single coil pickups
- Passive electronics
- 2 volumes and a master tone mounted on the pickguard
- Hipshot TransTone bridge
- Finishes: Black, Metallic Red and Tri-Color Sunburst
