I bought this guitar for the cheap price of $149.99 from www.giardinelli.com. It is a shortscale beginers bass. I needed a short scale becuase of my height, if you need a short scale I highly recomend this bass. If you don't i recomend something like a ibanez. Fir a 1 pickup it sounds pretty good. It's made by Fender so you can assure its quality.

Ok, what I didn't like was it's large body and the white plate in the front, but those are just personal qualities i dont like.

Really good quality, its by fender. The construction is strong very strong. I've read of some people trying to break it on a sidewalk u can hit and hit the neck will NEVEr come off!

Great Guitar for Beginners, that are a wee bit short. : )

Got it from soundland (www.soundland.de) in person for 200 Euros (a little more than 190 Dollars that is).

I was looking for a "vintage style" but newly built bass, needed a short scale bass and didn't have much money on me.

It's got a very cool colour: "Torino Red" is very funky, 50s-car like but not too candy-ish. Definitely makes ya look good.
After all, it's a body form that's not too common - many people wanted to know more about it.

It's a short scale bass; that was perfect for my arm angle. (I could have mastered the frets of a longscale, but this one's _so_ light... man.)

It's got a killer sound. Very powerful for a shortscale bass. With roundwound strings, you get a decent midrange out of it for solos. When you curb the highs via the preamp knob, you get a deep, almost Jack Bruce-type average growl.

It has a tendency to pick up noise from lamps etc. Just a single coil pickup after all.

The d string tuner is not turning quite evenly any more, but all the others run like butter.

It's built well. In the half year I've owned this baby, it never caused me trouble.
It stays in tune quite decently.

Check above paragraph for minor quality defects.

If you like its looks and sound, it's an affordable and pretty bass with an outstanding tone.
One of the pretty short scale basses out there.
I think it's OK for me.

I bought this thing off of a guy I knew for 30 bucks. I'm a drummer and was just starting to get interested in bass, and boy was this a bad first bass to get. If you want to make someone hate playing the bass, tell them to get a Squier Bronco Bass.

It was a decent color red. If you squinted and looked at it out of the corner of your eye, it kinda looked like an old Fender Bronco guitar. The head stock also resembled that of a Jazz Bass. And when I finally bought a new bass, the Bronco smashed really good.

The neck was a short scale which I guess doesn't bother me too much, but the shape of it is extremely awkward for a big guy like me and moving your hand up and down the neck is really sluggish. There's no response when you play it...it just feels like you're pressing the strings...and that's it. It had a single pick up that sounded like crap when it was even making noise. The first thing I did when I bought the stupid thing was go out and buy a $30 cable just so I could say that I spent as much on the cable as I did on the bass. Well, that was a mistake because it only sent sound through to the amp about half of the time. The most horrifying thing is--it costs about $150 if you want a new one.

Uh, it was shitty. Looked like it was made out of particle board or something. The entire body split in half after a couple wacks on the ground. I will say this though: those Indonesian Squier employees know how to keep a neck attached. Try as I did, I could not get it to break off. I finally unscrewed it and now the neck with the headstock duct-taped back on is sitting in my room next to my "real" bass.

If you want to have a good time, play nothing but the Squier Bronco Bass for a month or two, then get your jollies off smashing it to hell!

And I would add: no body contour! Okay it's low end, but even if it is to put the same body as the Mustang, as much to do with the body contour is more comfortable ... Finally, it's just a good dtail but it's a shame.

UTILIZATION

_The Handle is very small, get used to beginners, but for my part I find it enjoyable to play, it is especially useful for guitarists / bassists like me.

_L'accs To acute is very easy, especially given that there are only 19 frets it does not go away ... trs u_u

_for Ergonomics then as I said above is trs damage the body did not t "contourisquot, as the Mustangs (which have the same body). However it is still comfortable and trslgre.

_on Easily obtain a good sound (although everything is relative), given the number of settings, it will not spend two hours.

SOUNDS

_The Sound suited my style of music (rock / post-punk / new wave), and are for nickels and other types of punk rock. For jazz as the limit should be, but hey it is not really made for was there that look at ... same thing for metal and other noisy drive.

_I Have tried it on a huge peavey, a recess help, so big sound. It's always better on a good amp that sends large well ... with chtit prampli lamps I think the sound of this bass is just horny.

_with The Tone knob to max turns in the direction of clockwise, we obtain a well slamming, perfect for rock and post punk, its really a PB in the genre, and with the knob of Tone Max turns the other way, we get a round the trs, trs big, but always with the precision, is also, depending on what you are looking for. The sonic palette of this toy is not standard, but we know what we want ... me it suits me perfectly.

_The Sound I prfre? Yen Ben is no mass, but I would say with all the mediums, ca balance well. Sr Although, if you have a PB ct you will hear the difference ... but this is not the same price range.

I put 4 stars becaufe when even for a lower inlet end, she's a whore. Squier Congratulations on this one.

OVERALL OPINION

I had to try five times in all, every time I see her in a shop of instrumentals, I love it but I'm not the gold coins to take home with me ... Ending for

The report price is unbeatable quality, three or four times cheaper than a Fender Mex PB, and ten times cheaper than the USD for a ... not bad. I live here in the Bronco-Mxique costs about 2700 pesos, or in 190 euros, and many new sr! Is given.

It is therefore somewhat limited but it is the precision of caractristique base.

OVERALL OPINION

I bought a week ago for a girl of 14 who dreams of playing bass. I give guitar lessons and I getting ready for a concert season with my students. Having a low small at hand, allows me to play for children from 10-12 years.
The look with the head of the penguin Badtz Manu is nice and goes into the IDE of Hello Kitty guitar. It does not catch all the young, but those who hang on are crazy, even little girls, a fan of Hello Kitty.
I see with exprience if it is a good choice.
It is a "toy" nice to take his first steps into the world of bass players.
I shall not fail to notice UNESCORecords when I saw two, three kids have fun with.

Upd August 25, 2009:
I almost forgot my promise! I did do a concert in late June my young lves. Small groups singing, guitars, keyboards, bass, drums. On stage, three Momes have played on the Bronco. The girl quoted above was played on the gift his mother gave him for the occasion, an Ibanez bass.
It is all the same three months of learning about bronco. The three other children who played on the Bronco are two girls aged 10 and 12 and a boy of 11 years. Three pupils guitarists. But the 10 year old girl has contracted the virus, she pushed her father adj buy him a bass (a Bronco course!)
Early was found tricks to play without too much problem at the top of the handle (box a bit too big for his little left hand) but it took away the good gesture of ct right hand.

The other two children will appreciate his game but will never Premire for bassists.

What pleases first child is the look of the Bronco. The head of Batz Manu is all the rage, especially among fans of Hello Kitty. Finally, the thickness of the handle appears to facilitate apprentisssage. But 10 years is really the extreme limit of age for learning the bass with this instrument. Firstly because of the size but also because of the weight of the instrument.
Children do not liked to play with standing. "It's too heavy!" m'ont'ils said unanimously.
