UTILIZATION

Fender released the Jaguar bass a few years ago. I thought it was incredible - the styling is great, the pickups were very nice, and it played easily. I didn't want to spend the money on it, however - it was around $750 at my local store. So when Fender announced a Squier, low cost version, I was excited. The result disappointed me, but only slightly - I wanted the full scale neck. This shorter scale is cool, I mean, the original Jaguar guitars had a shorter scale. But I was hoping for something that felt like a Jazz Bass, sounded like a P-Bass, and looked like a Jaguar. 2 out of three ain't bad, right?

SOUNDS

The pickups are very nice. I can get J and P sounds out of it, and they are very clear. The bridge pickup could stand to be a bit punchier, but overall, they are good-sounding pickups, with a broad array of possible sounds.

OVERALL OPINION

This bass would be a great beginner bass, or good for someone with smaller stature. I was wanting a full scale bass, so I've got to admit some disappointment, but overall the Jaguar Bass from Squier is still pretty cool.

I did not have long, but the quality seems good and I have not seen a particular defect.

UTILIZATION

As the title puts it, the neck is butter! I feel like I have grown 2 years in one day ... must say that my previous low round was a difficult but nonetheless, this short scale bass is the easiest I have ever had in his hands.
Ergonomically speaking, no problem, no risk of back pain with this lightweight and form nickel too.
Access to acute is easy but remember that there are only 20 frets.
The sound is good no matter what the setting.

SOUNDS

I use it on an Orange Terror Bass with Orange OBC410 baffle and depending on what I have to play, hop a ride button and go.
The bridge pickup alone can better penetrate the mix and in combination with the short scale gives a vintage well. Remember that Paul McCartney and Jack Bruce playing scales on shorts and many other bassists of the 60's.
Micro Precision goes to a bass sound round and heavy.
After there is the third button that sets the tone for all pickups at once. Turned all the way it gives her enough metal.

OVERALL OPINION

It did not take long as I but I ogled over for some time. Even before receiving it I knew I had made the right choice. It is so easy to play I'll probably buy another for défretter. Must be said at this price I do not take risk.
To advise all those who have a small budget and who love music 60's-70's. And also to all those who have money and who seek a lightweight instrument easy to play, that of the mouth and ringing.
