Made in the U.K.

24 frets, narrow, ultra slim and very flat neck. Optimal access to the upper frets.

Very easy to use: only two controls (volume and tone).

UTILIZATION

Rather light, well-balanced, very long neck, very compact head and small machine heads.

You might need some time to get used to the neck because it feels quite special (Ibanez-type) but it's comfortable (I was able to set the action pretty low).

SOUNDS

Powerful, accurate and twangy sound, ideal for slapping.

I read somewhere that its sound is a mix of a Jazzbass and a Stingray...

OVERALL OPINION

This bass has an original look and a good manufacturing quality. It's easy to use but I think it doesn't match all styles.

I miss a neck pickup for more versatility (I might add it later though).

Status The Shark was manufactured in the early 90s in Britain in small numbers.
It's 24 frets with an easel like a badass, the stick thin enough (which leaves me a ATK300 is something else). We have a simple microphone, volume and tone.

UTILIZATION

The neck is very pleasant, quite fine. Presence of a fret 0.
The bass itself is not very heavy (around 6Kg if I remember correctly) and is well balanced: the Shark is not itchy nose (oh what a joke).
Access to acute is an impressive facility, we are very comfortable and even the 24th box is accessible. However I prefer the bass with a larger radius, so I would not put that 9.
It quickly gets a good sound, at about the time we put the fingers on it. She has a particular sound close to the P-bass, but with any other power, we believe the force when it can not.

SOUNDS

The music I play ranges from progressive metal, post-rock and noisecore. With great astonishment I realized that this bass sounds perfectly contented that I seek, as stated above, a sort of "precision bass boosted. I had two main low, an ESP LTD B-50 and an Ibanez ATK300. These three instruments have nothing to do with the ESP config precision-jazz, and ATK closest to a Stingray.
The Shark valuable to me because it is a good compromise between the deep tones of the ATK and treble precision.
€ 360 for this bass seems a very good price considering its "rarity" and the quality of his violin. It was my age and has aged better than me for now: 'D
