UTILIZATION
The neck is very pleasant, quite fine (I have small fingers ), It glides over very well. I adjusted the strings very close race but it's a personal preference.
Access to acute poses no problem. Playing with the pots you get a very varied sound palette.
Otherwise, the ergonomics are nice you can easily find a comfortable position for playing time. I cons hole a bit heavy for a game prolonged standing. Both pickups are nice to rest pushes its way round either side of his neck or body slamming side on the other hand as they are quite large they may upset at the slap.
I put my 9 for the weight.
SOUNDS
Generally I play pop / rock (Led Zeppelin to the Beatles ...) with a few detours into electronica, and the reagge variétoche. No problem with this bass for a few seconds and I handle the portare sound I need. Whether it's a big round sound and a more warm or dry, rough or metal (provided you have recent string ). For some time I put the funk on the other hand and there I more trouble finding a sound that makes really good.
Otherwise I love to take his bass so hot with long sustain while retaining a rough appearance in the sound.
A small negative point about the volume Knob that sizzles when you use it, I guess I could change it but I do not stage it does not bother more than that.
9 because a sizzling mêm portar if it is not much domage a product of this quality.
OVERALL OPINION
This is my first bass, I've had it 3 years and I do not regret my purchase. For a moderate price you have a low to a high quality and versatile. Before buying it I was in many stores and I tested a bunch of bass. Before I played the bass guitar a bit so I could not really guided my choice from the search for a particular sound. My selection criteria was therefore mainly ergonomics, aesthetics, the possibility of modulating the sound and the price ... Seeing that this bass I liked the salesman offered me a pack bass + soft case + amp frontman 25 b to 600 €.
I especially like the ease of movement and access to notes provided by the handle and richness of sound. I like less the weight of the instrument. With the experience I would do this given the choice excelllent value for money and versatility of the instrument.
Washburn wanted to make a low quality and reasonable price for a multipurpose mission accomplished: 10!
