Gifted to me 10 years ago when I began playing bass. Cost was roughly 200.

This bass was a godsend. I've hit it with drum sticks, tamborines, and screwdrivers; dropped it, thrown it, played countless shows & practices with it and it keeps on going. Completely durable. Has a great, snarling tone when you max out all the knobs. Easy access to the high frets.

Minor complaints: intonation is a bit finicky and there's a dead spot on the 9th fret of the D string. The E string also seems duller quite often, but I've noticed this in other basses as well.

Sturdy as all get out. Mine is all original parts except one tuning knob. The strap-holds were a little sketchy, but the body, despite my attempts to destroy it, has held up like a champion.

I love this bass. Perhaps a little too much. It needed a minor repair here and there but, for 200 bucks, I don't think there's a better low-end bass anywhere.

Acquired from Musicians Friend, cost was $249, showed a list price of around $500

This bass had a good feel from the beginning after trying several others in the same or slightly higher price range, felt balanced, liked the weight, neck felt good. My first had some real buzz, it seems it had an inherent internal problem, I returned it after 2 weeks and they replaced it. This second one has been a gem.

Tone and volume adjustments seem a little insensitive, but that's about it.

This bass has been through a fire and survived, has been durable, and holds tune nicely. Excellent sounding pickups.

I saw someone playing the bass I almost bought instead, it was falling to pieces--I won't mention the manufacturer's famous name. Glad I bought this one.

Igot this bass at Music123 for $220.00

I liked the active pickups, and the look.
the pickups are awesome.

1. the finish is weak
2. the stap holders broke off
3. the D string has bad intonation
4. the strings buzz even after raising the bridge
5.the screws strip easily
6.the tuners and bridge scratch very easy.

the wood is weak and this product is not relyable. the pickups are very good though

I would stay away from this bass. I learned the hard way buying it.

24 frets, ergonomic body design and neat, but flat (not domed like Ergodyne for example), looks very classic and simple.

UTILIZATION

The grip is very nice and natural, for it requires support against strong enough and secure on the frets out a precise sound (it sizzles quickly if you let yourself go, not my non-stick is not twisted ). It can be worn as low as high without it poses problems. It is not especially heavy .. classic after all!

Three knobs and three "mixed microphones" (only one, only the other, or 50/50).

SOUNDS

I am a bit disappointed with the sound of slapping. I would advise rockers looking for a sound not too round. The treble knob is not acting in the right frequency in my area (too high) but it is a subjective opinion. Otherwise, the three level adjustments compensate for its sound quite a bit "limited".

It also lacks fishing, but that's because I more used to low active.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for four years and I used a lot. I quickly made its sound, and in the end .. it's pretty severe. Put on a big amp it sounds pretty good, but it remains very challenging issue Thurs If you let go it sounds vague. It bothers me a little finger, but other than that I have not much to say .. must say that my Roland DB-700 compensates for a lot its shortcomings. And robustness issue is nickel!

I bought this bass about 15 years ago for 3000Fr (and yeah it was still the franc) is an American.
I find the pickups fairly accurate, but for me his strength is his versatility, you can do it all! Rock, punk, funk ... with a pick, finger, slap ...

SOUNDS

A good amp can easily correct the weakness of the microphones.
I have an amp with a Hartke HA3500 4x10 inches.

OVERALL OPINION

in quality / price ratio is a very good model.
For a beginner or intermediate, it is a good product.
