Best value:
Excellent
Multi effect processor for guitar, Digitech at entry level. The models above are the RP 250 and RP 350.
Effects proposed by the RP 150 are numerous. There are distortion, and overdrive, the flanger, chorus, ...
The amp simulations make it very well, and we get easily regained his undergroud to Deep Purple for 70 years, as its a big black metal style of Venom 90 years, passing by many of Metallica, Maiden, AC / DC ...
It uses a transistor
The library offers 50 preset factory preset and 50 user editable and modifiable at will via a USB interface and a PC or Mac (I'm not on the Mac). For cons, the X-edit software, the USB cacable and instructions are not provided in the boitage. It will go on the digitech site to retrieve the software and in the large area of your choice to buy a USB cable.
The RP150 also serves as a sound card when connected via USB. This also presents some problems with the sound card, at least in my case with the sb live external usb. I have to disconnect it when I connect my PC to the RP150.
The connection is the most basic and simple, a jack input and a 6.35 or 6.35 2 jack output for mono or stereo. Power is supplied. The RP150 features a push button that lets you change the output impedance to choose amp or mixer. There is also a headphone jack (for vosins at 3:00 in the morning).
It just lacks something important: a power button. shame.
UTILIZATION
Configuration is very simple. One branch, it makes it sound and motion.
Editing sounds is easy on the other hand is less easy if you're with X-edit or the multi purpose. Basically it's going with the PC alone, and live on the pedal, it must be because the doc is on display two digits. The doc is especially useful for encoding amplifiers.
The manual is very clear and sufficient. For those who shop elsewhere than in France (like me) will have a manual in English. No worries, we find on the net the French manual.
SOUND QUALITY
The effects are excellent and powerful. Personally, I use a lot of distortion, my musical direction is very metal of 80-90 years.
I use the mutli-purpose with a BC Rich Warlock platinum viel amp and a Dean Markley DMC-80 and I must say that this configuration perfectly meets my expectations.
Recording side, in a mixer, sound quality is at the appointment. Is obtained easily and quickly a good big sound stunning. For instnant, I have yet to mixer, and my recording setup password only on my SB Live USB stereo line in, it sends many already.
OVERALL OPINION
I use the RP150 for 2 months. What I like most about this multi purpose, ease of use.
What I dislike is the lack of a button - off, and most importantly, it is supplied without CD-ROM and especially without USB cable, but it may be a choice to digitech propse this Article at a price more than interesting.
Before purchasing this model, I must say that I did not try others. I had a childhood memory of a Digitech RP1 (not very young) and especially the brand awareness. I took the info on the internet and I ordered the RP150.
The price / quality ratio is excellent. Much power and quality for a lower price to 150 Euros, what more? If this choice was to do again, I would.
