« DigiTech RP200 Multi-Effects Processor »

Published on 06/21/02 at 15:00
I bought this pedal for $134.99 at Guitar Center in Raleigh, NC. The people at Guitar Center are the best! I was getting REALLY tired of the sound coming out of my amp so I got the RP200.

I love the price. It costs just about the same as two single effect pedals, but has loads more. The effects are great, everything is editable, and the expression pedal adds loads of difference when assigned different parts. It also includes a VERY good tuner, which is the biggest bonus you could ask for. It has amp simulators, pickup simulators, miked cabinet simulators, noise gate, with multiple controls for each one. I really liked the fact that the Delay, Reverb and Compressor effects were separated from the others so you can add them together. The 40 factory presets range from Metalhead shred to pedal controlled Ya-Ya.The expression pedal can be assigned to any effect using a wide range of minimum and maximum parameters and makes for awesome sounding playtime. I'd like to say that I have had more fun playing guitar with this pedal then I've had in a loooong time. That alone is worth the 135 bucks.

My only complaint is the fact that you have to cycle through patches one at a time in numerical order. I'd like to jump around between them... But hey, compared to the good stuff, it's not a problem.

Pretty durable... It's DigiTech, so you know you're not buying a piece of crap. The effects are of very high quality, if it sounds bad, you screwed up.

Great effects without the impact on your wallet. This is just a great pedal for musicians on a budget, or with limited space.
