« Digitech RP200 Multi-Effects Processor »
Published on 10/23/03 at 15:00I bought the Digitech RP200 about 6 or 7 months ago at Sam Ash at New York. It was about $150. Before buying it, i read some reviews and asked other musicians for their opinion. It took me about 2 months to save up for it... but thats ok... it was all worth it. (I was 16 at the time hehehe 150 was hard to get, it still is!)
The effects are great. I've set up my own effects and altered some of the ones i didnt like too much. It gives my guitar a great sound and very diverse. I can begin playing with some hardcore metal distortion but then switch to some funky wah/ya and then get to a clean sound.
One thing i dislike about the Rp200 is that it takes a year and a day to get to a certain effect since you must cycle through each and every effect. You can preset, but its annoying.
The construction is good. Thick metal and not heavy at all. I have had it for a while and it has been through a lot of moving, kicking, stomping and all that and it still looks new and works like new.
The Digitech is a good deal if you are looking for a multi effects pedal. might be hard to use live but to record and just jam its a great pedal!
