This is a purely analog pedal handmade.
The effects of all vintage style are a compressor, a delay (adjustable virtually infinite, an overdrive with its boost. It has an A / B box handy for another pedal or a looper ...
It can not be simpler. The guitar is connected and connects the pedal to the amp. The definition of each effect is adjustable so, you just turn the knobs.
Excellent sound quality because it distorts nothing the sound of your guitar. On the contrary it enriched. The sound is very warm.
The compressor is superbly dynamic with good ataque (that's why AC is called a compressor you ask me ...) and not be soft. The overdrive is kind of SRV and Hendrix. The delay is stunning and gives a wonderful dimension to the sound and could even act as reverb / echo. In regard Rock and Blues is Paraite by really against for Metal. Great sound clean or dirty.
I played several amp with this pedal in the transistor lamps and each time the sound was quality (Berhingeer GMX 212, Blackstar lamp, Vox AD30VT, Marshall, Fender twin reverb). It adapts. I play on a Stratocaster American delux, a Chinese modern player telecaster, I had the opportunity to play an Epiphone Joe Pass 2 emperor and frankly I every time I was impressed by the sound that came out on each of guitars .dropoff window
I also have a pod HD500 and the effects of jam are much warmer than my pod (which nevertheless has the resource).
I have 3 years and the Beast is solid. She never failed me and I am completely satisfied. It is guaranteed for life by the Jam manufacturer.
It is worth its price.
With experience I would do this choice without hesitation.
