I’ve had this one for awhile now. I’ve mainly used it for direct recording and general practice with a small Marshall amp. I probably wouldn’t recommend this one for live stuff unless you spen the time needed to tweak the settings for ideal tones.

I saw some reviews complain about hum. This pedal has a a noise gate. The should learn how to use it.

This is an older amp modeling multi effects pedal. The built in presets aren’t very good. Given the fact the volumes any gain change drastically switching patches they should only be used as short cuts setting up your own patches.

Since it has 40 user patches I set mine up so I have 20 patches for single coil guitars and 20 for Humbuckers. This gave me the flexibility to switch guitars without having to retweak all the patches set for one guitar type. I use many instruments recording.

I also used the amp types as a template. I used A00 through A07 and used 10 amp set up for clean tones. Then i copied those 10 and reworked them for driven tones. After that I copied those 20 and tweaked them for humbucker pickups. I added various effects which worked with the various amp patches.

I should mention this pedal is very similar to the Vox Stomplab (which is also owned by Korg). Other than it being a bit mor modern an having expanded settings it’s very similar.

The Korg can achieve some excellent results for recording direct if you take the time to dial up ideal settings. You need to pay close attention to the various cabinet settings and capture the tones you get from a miced amp. You also have to judge the results within the context of a complete recording with multiple instruments in a mix. This unit solo is at best mediocre but a well recorded instrument is often mediocre so it’s a matter of keeper ng the results in proper perspective when judging how it fills the soundscape

UTILIZATION

Configuration very simple two pedal to raise or lower the presets. Manual configuration rather complicated, incomprehensible manual.

SOUND QUALITY

Pretty easy to use manual in French and also damn good.
Editing effects just be a bit complicated, I myself am not yet 80 dives since the effects prprogramms still widely enough for me!

UTILIZATION

As my prcis prdcesseur, despite a clear manual Franais trs, configuring effects ncssite good concentration before being accessible.

SOUND QUALITY

The effects of the distortion of simple auto wah trs are well rendered.
Uses a PRS SE Singlecut and a Marshall MG15DFX, trs a good sound.

Pdalier I use this now for about a month, it has nothing to envy to the pedals and pdaliers more upscale, prestigious brands, as it catches its dsavantages (not always empty when find) a lower price trs.

UTILIZATION

Trs simple use, the effects of shipping is a little complicated, but against the manual is clear and comprhensible.

SOUND QUALITY

I use it exclusively to the headphone, to this end prcis that I bought. I find it useful to have a trs made less synthetic sound and flat as the headphone output of the amp and enjoy the effects of "relatively" ralistes, let me explain:

I just want prciser I found the bypass excellent. I read reviews that said the bypass n'tait not great (really, no sound when the instrument is given). And the noise gate is pretty plutt has not spit when you no longer touches the guitar.

Achtung has come! I stayed quiet, tape on the spot, be it with two columns active, loop back on peavey100w amp, or in between my junior Valve 112.
Even better in return for a loop on Class A, except that all mix taient too strong (too much rverbe, delay, normal for the class A will look for the sound plutt wait qul happens ....).
Immersed in a Ocan of rverbe, what happiness. A transparent overdrive and soft, fantastic. The delays are really top the distos too. (I-mode effect pedals, not MODEL amp).
Now for the amps on offer is more difficult, but the fact that one can boost an amp with compressor lgrement crunch helps a lot for this kind of overdrive.
I would say that sounds trsmtal are not feasible except with distos but then you can not combine distortion + amp. Only in this case the cab sim module level is useful.
Do not worry, you'll understand when you have you too ...

OVERALL OPINION

I've had six months, just bought a digitech RP150 APRS.
If I compare the two, the Korg prevails in conventional use, pedals, it sounds much more natural and warm. Of course not usb or rhythm box or alternative power supply can not replace an emergency (rp150. ..).
The RP150 is easier rgler (less paramtres), more readable, but lch in sound reproduction. Gnral too plastic, but between 112 Valve Jr is better than the Korg (the valve junior trsmdium little bit of low acute and r rp is easy Gler).
With headphones (beyerdynamic dt331-Akg k240studio) is the Korg trs enjoyable (I have the cab sim in position line) and the icing on the gato it runs great with NiMh 2000mA.
Last dtail, capital in concert: If you have a ppin with the power supply (like horn coming out the plug by the way) goes into the Korg batteries without any downtime or break! Not a toy but a tool for a musician so. Put on good batteries, they will return the favor ....
The only thing that does not see the sound and features available is the price, are sick plutt serious, I had to pay as a tuner in rotten boss.
