«  Antiquity with its good and bad buttons »

Published on 10/09/10 at 13:32
Many effects available, the nicest in my opinion his delay and reverb, chorus, flanger ok, not top whawha, noise gate and not very effective "Music" / natural.

They are editable via the buttons on the same machine that is ergonomic raquée once.

It is a priori in the digital controllable noon.

The unit is robust, led to dozens of concerts in the dust, smoke, with shock and sometimes the electricity cuts out, never burnt, never moved, never crashed.

UTILIZATION

Should read the manual to configure the product, when one reads the rack is what is written inside.

It is not as intuitive as what pedal:)

He must know a little MIDI to interface with an external footswitch (behringer in my case)

Editing sounds is easy but two points:
- No setting tempo in BPM fixed effects, only millisecond, provide the calculator (the tap tempo is not accurate enough for my taste / style practiced for: extreme metal with soundtracks in the background sets the tempo)
- Drives age badly and become inaccurate, we spend a lot of time to return the values in effect because of this.

SOUND QUALITY

Effects respect though the original sound of the instrument and the amp in terms of delay and reverb. It was the strong point of the device at its output. Other effects are less convincing, knowing that we not ask a phaser to respect the sound of the instrument, it sounds cheap even when I find ...

Today there is no doubt as well on most digital multi not too low end.

I used it with an ibanez Vigier and mounted on a triple lundgren correct mesa boogie. Today I'll just put a pod in effects loop to do the same thing with a clearer interface and a tuner which is a reference.

OVERALL OPINION

Used from 2004 to 2008

I tried the digitech which was worse.

Its big plus is the sound that comes out very clean and great variety of parameters.
His big minus is the aging of controllers that make difficult settings.

The value for money was excellent in 2004. Today a pod XT packs effects makes the same service more evenly on the effects to boot.

Considering the price of a pod XT opportunity today so I would advise the TC electronics, its converters are probably a little better but live / disagreement and repeated it in the studio using studio effects of c ' is cleaner.
Except to be a fundamentalist I see more delays tc which it may concern.

A must-have of yore that I think does great interest today, I'll have to think renvendre mine who sleeps in a flight case for two years.
