Multiprocessor digital 1U (all analog, go your way!) For guitar, bass or other ... Four groups of effects in which there is a multitude of sub-effects: DYN-> compressor, distortion, EQ, etc. ... MOD-> all modulation effects, REV1 and REV2-> all the effects of time lag (which reverses the very beautiful), delays etc ... All fully customizable but also they can be placed as you want against each other, eg serial, parallel, distortion before the delay or the reverse, in three series, one parallel, all combinations are possible using algorithms. Unique!
Almost all parameters can be edited in real time by MIDI.
Publisher Mac or PC, do not know ...
Connectors: unbalanced jack. -10 Or +4 dB. I / O stereo and mono front for the guitar.
UTILIZATION
The config is not intuitively simple because the FX900 addresses new concepts in other models, including the algorithms.
The manual is very explicit as far as we take the trouble to read a minimum (mode allergic jobs go your way!)
Can not be learned in one day (at least for me!)
SOUND QUALITY
This is a digital multi-effect of 90 years, which means distos unusable, though ...
The rest of the effects is just great, perhaps lacking in dynamics. Excellent reverb. Good S / N except distortion but there are effective gates. I use it downstream of a tube preamp. I addition to the User of the record to play on an amp. Excellent multi-band equalizers or other ...
Used both as an insert on a table mix, that amp input. Adjusting the input 1M/10k. Output 4 dB/-10dB.
OVERALL OPINION
I have two for over 10 years, the second was bought used € 100, at that price I certainly do it again this choice.
What I like is that at the time digital was trying to create something new while being unable to compete in quality with analog. Today the concept is the "simulators" digital, the price of leaving the whole pan innovation / exploration in the background, it's a shame ...
I get the FX900 sounds impossible with multifx today, so I'm not ready to part with it! Once understood the concept of algorithms we imagine incredible possibilities of the machine!
