Hello,

I have a Rhodes Suitcase 73, 1976.
I bought the United States and brought to France. It is in perfect condition: no scratches, no marks, logos OK, the keyboard and the rest are like new. United States, there are Rhodes in perfect condition sold by individuals: so do not hesitate to identify them on ebay.com or craigslist.com. After the transport is another story. You can contact me, I will tell you how.

Go back to the beast.

SOUND:
1976, shortly before and shortly after, are my favorite years. Playing softly, the sound was round, warm and soft the first Rhodes (as student, 1969: I had one) but if we enter when the piano is the crunchy funk out of his lair and makes a big slap.
The vibrato is a phenomenal depth (if it is not is that qq capacitors to replace the preamp).
The equalizer is the taf.
The 120W amp on which the keyboard allows for stereo sound clean. Even if the amp is not light, the sound is beautiful. It is also surprising as one would think that this amp is tube. Grateux all my friends were amazed.
The effects loop is welcome and can add Wah, Phser, Tremolo and Reverb and Delay.

THE BEAST:
The keyboards are a little soft in 1976. By this I mean that 2 / 3 octaves of the medium may drive a little in the piano playing. Not disturbing but not top. => Or even Bourdon Archambault for improvement.
The 110 turns into 220 V in reversed-phase and tinkering with the power supply. If you do not know you, better pay € 150 to a pro for editing because it is not so simple.
The amp is indestructible.

Conclusion:
They are paid dear in France, while used machines is in a dilapidated state. It is better to buy in the United States even if you have to wait a year before finding the right case.
