« Excellent 7! »

The piece is made in Korea, assembled and tested in the USA.
Body and mahogany neck, rosewood frets, maple table.
Fixed Bridge Tune-o-Matic, traversing ropes.
Channel set neck 24 frets, 26.5 inches, that is longer than the standard handles Fender, Ibanez, ESP / LTP ... to one half inch of a baritone neck. FretJumbo
Seymour Duncan '59 and Beck
One volume, one tone, 5 position selector. I know the combinations of positions, but it looks to me like standard ...

Nice finish, nothing to say is good work.

UTILIZATION

The Shaft:

The handle is quite special. For those familiar with the sleeves Ibanez is the extreme opposite: It is thick, round, the strings are spaced less and the pitch is much longer than RG or S. He recalled the handle of a lot ESP / LTP Carpenter rounder. Simply put, very typical Gibson with a larger radius, and roundness less pronounced. In short, it's not ideal for the position of classical left hands. I was quite unsettled at first, but I got done with pleasure.
The junction between the body and the neck is not bad for a set neck, but it's not perfect. Access to the rope so bad starts to be really dangerous from the 18th box, despite my big paws. For strings it is manageable, but not transcendent.

For cons, the long pitch to be careful! Personally, with great big hands and is very enjoyable. The chords in the treble is much more comfortable than a standard pitch. on the other hand, for those who have small hands, acrobatic positions can be really difficult and tiring.

BODY:

It is a form of classical strat so nice sitting or standing. Less ergonomic than RG, but much better than a Fender and 100 times better than a Gibson. Although it is a 7 string, it is mahogany and has a long pitch, it does not weigh three tons. It is not light either, but I've had worse.

AWARDED ON EASY DOES A GOOD SON?

No problem!

SOUNDS

I tend to prog metal, www.myspace.com / grorr, and agrees very well with the style.

For sound, it's really very good. The kit provides micro is very standard, but it gives it personality (active pickups, I think, would just make it unnecessarily messy and noisy). The sound is full spectrum from complete, lacking nothing, so we can do pretty much what we want.
As a mahogany body, the strings are crossed and that the handle is stuck, she absolutely incredible sustain. I never heard that.
She has her very own. It has a side rather pronounced in the low midrange. For even draw a parallel with Ibanez RG7 howl in the upper midrange, the Blackjack growls in the low midrange. She has a very violent side. Small crunch are quickly transformed into distortion. In short, it has a huge potato and it brings into focus the interpretation.

The clean sounds are really nice, and 5 positions give things interesting. Were going to say that overall it's pretty crystaline, but not typed. It has no ugly side can have a Gibson, but it's not as bright and beautiful than a Fender or RG.

For distos and crunch, I would say that the position is logically dual position easel. The other positions are not bad, even though they are, but there is so cella although ultimately, I remain permanently above ... Especially since it is a huge loss of earnings on the other, and no longer present, which is pretty bad.

I play with a ENGL E530 preamp and power amp Mesa Two Fifty, and it fits him very well. It's clean, sharp and also very heavy.

OVERALL OPINION

I've had it three months and I play extensively on it.

What I love is its power, sustain, very reassuring turn in manufacturing quality, and simplicity. The pitch length is really good. I play in drop A since I have, and unlike the guitars dipason of 25.5, it is fair to fair. The previous owner had granted two-tone below the if. It was funny and just, but the microphone does not follow.

What I like least about her is the handle, but in the end I got very well done. Since I have my RG 7620 is in the closet, and no regrets!

Playing 7 strings for about ten years, I try everything that comes to hand. And in this price range, I have not found better. This is not the ultimate guitar is not a holy grail, but I'll have to put more than 2000 € to find a better new. It should be noted that almost all the endorsers of playing on home Schecter 7 take this model and not a hellraiser, an elite or otherwise. It's not for nothing.

With experience, I do it again this choice without hesitation.
