Best value:
Excellent
Made in South Korea, United controlled the state. Here we have a 7 string guitar with two EMG pickups (81/85), a bridge tune-o-matic or Pink Floyd to choose from, a handle end "C", 24 frets, a three-position switch, one volume, tone. Mahogany body with flamed maple table, maple neck, rosewood fingerboard, abalone Gothic Cross Inlay (which are gorgeous!)
UTILIZATION
The handle is fine, although a little wide, but it is obliged with a 7 string ... ^ ^ Access to treble is good, although the general "block" or the handle is screwed that is big enough.
The shape is classic (Type Start / Horizon), its finish is superb! Gothic Cross, Body flamed red ... It is sublime while remaining sober enough! Biding'm black too. It is quite heavy (mahogany requires), and is very well balanced.
The sound comes out as nothing, thank you EMG, it turns the volume and we are ready to melt the amp!
SOUNDS
Knowing that I play metal (who else would need 7 strings ...), the sound suits me perfectly! Its very powerful for EMG, and a lot of grace to sustain mahogany! The clean sound is good for metal, but it is not in this category that plays guitar.
I play on a Line6 SpiderValve 112 all-tube, and channel metal or insane, it's all good! Big sound ready to do just any kind of metal! I play mainly Trivim of Lacuna Coil and spruce with this guitar, and is ideally suited to this kind of style!
OVERALL OPINION
I have this guitar since March 2011, purchased for 549 € at Thomann. And there is no denying there's something for his money! Knowing it's worth 800 in store in France (where it is found in stores ...)
I tried a few Ibanez and LTD 7 string before the one, but none had the same level of quality or the same stuff on it! Just the EMG worth the purchase, on LTD at the same price is the passive pickups ESP LH ... (See LTD SC207)
Basically, look demented, exemplary finish, big sound, good playability all this at a ridiculous price that puts at risk dozens of guitars worth twice as much for quality if not worse!
With experience, I reselect a Schecter in the future, their value for money are demented! I tried the Hellraiser 7 Strings of a friend is a bit more expensive, and it is the same level of quality: EMG 707, Channel glued and painted, mechanical self-locking ... Basically one just above mine! And the sound of my closest lot elsewhere, and at the game too!
In any case, Schecter is good if you get a chance, go for it!
