Value For Money :
Excellent
Form almost stratocaster guitar
Channel 22 boxes of fender-like profile (like only) a little off.
Settings: Volume, Tone and selection of the simulation (rotary selector 5 + classical position).
Lutherie very correct. I was very surprised by the beauty of the guitar because at first I was not a fan. You get used very quickly. J'jouterais she is not photogenic at all (she is prettier in person than the pictures on the net).
Not being an expert in instrument making and wood, I put a 6 (the average of what!).
The handle is very nice (for those who love handles Fender type). The key also. The guitar is very light is not very tiring. The absence of microphones is a plus for the work of the right hand.
For access to acute, well it's like a Start.
I put knobs on a big plus: the volume buttons and tone are really doing a great job. It gets good grades saturation and tone. For me it's a good thing compared to other guitars of the same budget that I could test (Squier top).
=> 7
For sonrités and my decision, the senpiternelle caveat: I do not know the guitars are simulated, so I will only assess the sound quality of the guitar without cling to the resemblance to the magnificent original guitars. That says it!
As for testing, in Marshall or Peavey amplification, repeated use and house concert. I play a little bit of everything from folk to thrash.
Here is a model by model description sounds:
T-Model:
Excellent sound with clear highs slammin. Big versatility of this model. Position 4 is really (too) silent. Otherwise it's all good. 2 The position offers good opportunities for saturation.
Spank:
In my opinion the sound is too muffled. A general tone a little low. Otherwise it is round, it's clean. Characteristic sound simple micro-saturated distortion. Crunchy and other low saturated very nice but its clear that this simulation is doing better.
Lester:
Excellent sound palette (note its not too clear to raise the level guitar, it would spoil a bit). Position 4 magnificent lead with large saturation. Very good sustain general (the best of the guitar). Sounds clear "scraped" very pleasant.
Special:
Position 2 and 4 for the excellent AC DC. Again the volume micro play a lot in sound quality.
Billy R:
True his 60's. Treble a little garish for my taste.
Chime:
3 positions 2 and 6 string 12 string positions. It's not my favorite sounds. The 12-string comes out still not bad, especially rhythm.
Semi:
Any good especially crunchy. Play with the volume of pickups is simply the Panard. Position 2 and 4 really nice.
Jazzbox: I do not really because of the tone and sound a little nasiard.
Acoustic: bluff high volume, even disconcerting at first. This is a big highlight of the guitar is a very good electrical and electro acoutisque. The twelve strings have found their way directly into the compositions.
Reso: recreation, including banjo and Citara. Position 3 (Danelectro) is the best for me.
Conclusion: Apart from a certain lack in the guitar nags and accepting large staurations, the sound palette is complete and quality. Everyone gets their money. But even for 8 when the lack of guitar over buggers.
I use it for 2 months now and I do not think of a well with excellent value for money.
It is not for everyone. But for people like me do not really want to put € 1,000 in a good guitar is fine. I was not party to buy it but eventually the sound palette for that price I decided (I confess I am afraid of being disappointed with a more expensive guitar, also taking into account my average).
After the great guitarists and those who can afford I understand they like a good guitar brand with real wood and real microphones especially since we do not know how it will age. Personally for the price (385 € at the time) if it is not 5 years it will make me nothing at all ...
But frankly for those who hesitate: go ahead Variax is a very good system.
