Ravaillac « Synthesizer 8-Bit »
Published on 12/16/13 at 10:28Game Boy DMG (Original) with Arduinoboy (Xiwi Electronics) and a blank cartridge welcoming MGB, no mod, which I use only for music, I sometimes use the Game Boy Camera for some sequences.
MGB can control the envelope of the Game Boy, which is connected MIDI (via Arduinoboy) to my Microkorg XL (which also handles the audio output of the console) which makes it a bit MIDI synth 8.
The Game Boy has 4 channels:
- 2 Pulse
- 1 wav
- 1 Noise (Drum or FX)
+ 1 Polyphony 3 ratings (assigning 2 pulse and wav to notes played) via MGB
I particularly aggressive synth sounds in this 8-Bit Nintendo, which is a bit my "SidStation the poor!"
