About 1 year.
- What do you prefer? What do you dislike?
This is really great, an essential extension for M3R if you want to avoid too much hassle on the small LCD screen and poor push buttons on the front. Maybe sometime the fader system for values can be a little weird, but nothing serious.
- Did you try many other models before buying it?
I looked for an software to control the M3R without good results, and sysex programming is not my thing, the RE-1 is the most simple and stable solution I found to edit the beast.
- How would you rate quality / price ratio?
It is quite hard to find, I bought it for a hundred euros, but the M3R is a good synth, so the price of the two machines together (150-200 €) is very correct. Beware though, the cable is not a classic midi cable, I left a link in the forum to find it easily.
- With experience, would you make the same choice?
I would perhaps prefer another type of expander, more easily controllable via PC, but objectively I am very satisfied with this combo, RE-1's simple editing and M3R's sound quality make a very good modular system, I will keep it.
