2 brand new Presonus FP10's... chained... blue lights on... So I have the normal problems... the clicking the banging... you know the "helicopter" audio.

I have read countless posts of people with the same problem... but there never seems to be a solution. The info I have read is so scattered and conditional that I figured I'd ask a question pertaining to my system.

Here's my computer...

Gateway M350 Laptop
* Pentium 4 (3.0 Mobile)
* 512 RAM
* 30g Hard Drive
* Windows XP SP2
* Adobe Audition 3.0
* Newest PreSonus FP10 drivers

All settings are to "best performance". I have processor set for background services and the ASIO driver set to run in background. I have tried both ways and no luck either way.

Does anyone know if this setup has been reported as having problems? I will purchase a firewire card for my laptop if I have to (after shelling 800 bucks I'm willing to spend a few more to ensure it works).

Please let me know your thoughts on this system. I have a desktop that's doing the same thing too... but I'm worried about this one.
