I use to work for mounting pubs NRJ studios and this one true rgale.
MAC G4 dual processor running 867 MHz, RAM 256 mega (lightweight), 100 GIGA firewire. 2 LCD screen (useful for displaying the page and edit mix).
It is used for voice recording and mixing commercials. Neumann U87, DBX, O2R (It does little more for the routing of the cabin Talkback speak). ADAT and SPDIF connectors.
UTILIZATION
Installation is no problem, thanks to the professionalism of Digidesign. little less, not compatible with MAC OS X, as only 6 runs on the Protools sytme. Not yet available.
If no incompatibility is not required to purchase the software for playing MP3, damages for the price of the product. The Systm uses a lot of resource, not lsiner the configuration.
English manual damage, for the fans ....
GETTING STARTED
Drivers inpeccable.
The assictance is perfect and updates are automatically provided to register online.
Latency is zero.
One reads and records the tracks to a maximum of ProTools LE.
OVERALL OPINION
I use it for 3 months and is really reliable product, the only ngatif point is that it does not gre edition, always use the mouse and keyboard shortcuts unlike a pro 24. Maybe the next modle.Par cons, it controls all the windows, recording and plugs in real time, not to mention the automation of any custom settings (monstrous). The faders on a resolution of 1024 which is not found in competitors prices. (Equivalent to an SSL studio 100,000 Euros). compared to other interface (Steinberg, Tascam or ...) which is a resolution of 124 Not to the south. Here is the Firewire. DIG is a 001 with an interface. The price remains same for all pupils but you must know is that we want.
