- What technical specifications motivated your choice?
This is the number of initially motivated my choice and the system of sending deals. Having had an isis (ds I bought his release and silent REALLY innovative Contents rack unprofessional) that allowed me to record a number of models in a quality OK, I was looking for a rack with at least 8 inputs and outputs and give the envoys DBiT important (to avoid any computation time, latency, ...). This provides 12 rack firewire main entrances and is clearly sufficient for the live recording of a small group or to make a model. Ds the first tests I t tonn facilitated by the recognition of the rack, the compatibility with the software ... Everything works without any worries.
- For what purpose?
I use it mainly for making models of groups and singers to make music in multitrack expriences.
Live I used it once and I plan to start recording the test quality.
Do not think you have a hardware professional studio rack but this is clearly sufficient for tests and models.
- What is your config (motherboard / CPU / Ram / Hard ,...)?
I have a PC and a laptop, I use it with two (plutt the PC for use of a large number of tracks).
Desktop PC:
Athlon XP 3200 + - 1GB RAM - 160 GB HDD 2 + 2 60 GB HDD rack
Win XP PRO SP2
Mobile:
Sempron 3000 + - RAM 512 MB - HD 40 GB + 60 GB HDD rack 2 (the same as for the PC)
Win XP Home SP2
- Which instruments or Systmes (console, prampli, DTD ...) you use it and how connections? ...
I use a mixer behringer 24/42 or live microphone for vocals.
UTILIZATION
- Installation is it without problem?
Trs simple installation, nothing wrong, it installs the drivers, one branch and it works.
- Have you experienced any incompatibility?
No incompatibility.
- The configuration gnrale is easy?
Configuration trs simple, too simple, we would like a little more paramtres and a little more precision, but c clear, we are not lost!
- The manual is clear and sufficient? ...
The manual is clear enough. It is simple and concise but also lacks depth.
GETTING STARTED
- The drivers are stable?
The drivers are stable on both my machines.
- Are they often put day?
The updates seem to be often offered. Hercules gnral works well.
- What software do you use most often?
The cubaseLe comes with the rack.
- What you get lag?
trs low or almost non. is also a dpendre the config.
- How many tracks you get record / playback simultanment? ...
I have so far recorded eight tracks simultanment.
OVERALL OPINION
- How long have you use it?
For the past three months without worries.
- What is the particular feature you like best and least?
The +: the facilties of the connection, use, recognition.
the -: the interface and some Austre pramp of 2 mic not terrible.
- Have you tried many other models before acqurir?
I did the essay and multi-isis numriques a while and ministudios.
- How do you report qualitprix?
This is an excellent deal, a quality such a sum as little, do not go without! Certe you do not record an album of great quality for a national broadcast, but to make models, test sounds, pre-album, c really perfect.
- With the exprience, you do again this choice? ...
