Value For Money : Excellent
Hello all

Here is a year 1 / 2 I use the FW410, I had chosen for mobile use in seeking a good qualitprix.
I use it both for the creation of audio / midi in live (or live broadcast: music for pieces of thatre notemment)
The first interest I found that being the ability to spread thanks to the 8 analog outputs.

I use a PowerBook G4 with 1GB of ram, and especially Logic 7.

UTILIZATION

No problem with OSX installed and used, although the manual that came shining through its vagueness and its useless.

GETTING STARTED

No problem with stability and drivers, no problems with the time of existence that is small enough to be forgotten.
J'apprcie also the possibility of routing of the interface that allows a direct monitoring Zro latency (very useful for acoustic instruments or voice).

OVERALL OPINION

The big default:
the reliability.

I tried three FW410 (with the same config and the same driver):
On the first MIDI was not working.
On the 2nd of the big problems of breath and plays, especially with the phantom power supply on.
On the 3rd, finally, all is well ... except ...
... Except that after a year's loose connection: bad contacts in the two headphone jacks, one input and outputs 1 / 2, 3 / 4 and 7 / 8!! Zt yet I took care of my stuff: I have a proof for Akai EWI for over 15 years and it still works.

It turns out that this card is not suitable for mobile use and should remain permanently connected in the same config, which is of course no!

In short, I deprecated this card. Too bad ...
