Apple announced that Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) would ship to customers on Friday, August 28, 2009, and PreSonus announced a public beta release of its Universal Control 1.1 control-panel software for FireStudio-series interfaces, compatible with the new operating system.
The public beta is available as of August 28 (today), which coincides with Apple’s Snow Leopard release.
In addition to the Snow Leopard initiative, the PreSonus Engineering Department is also getting ready for the expected release of Windows 7 this fall, they say.
Universal Control 1.1 will be a free download at the Technical Support/Downloads (www.presonus.com/technical-support/downloads/drivers-software) section of the PreSonus Web site.
