I bought it to release several years ago, which gives an idea of the quality of workmanship. I've never had any technical problem with this card.
It is a firewire card. I chose it for its simplicity of use as a beginner at the time (it is less possible that a large mixer), retention of its preamp gain (and the fact that they are 8) and the quality of its converters.
I use it every day, this is my only audio interface which is connected to a preamp and a Universal Audio LA610 GoldMike SPL. The converters are sufficiently transparent to allow the personality of its machines speak.
While purchasing my pc was running at 3ghz PV with 2g of ram. Today I have a quad core intel rotating at 2.86 ghz and 4 gigs of ram.

UTILIZATION

Never been any problem neither soft nor hard. Everything has been perfectly stable tjs. I used it in Cubase SL3 Cubase and then Studio4 5 and Nuendo 5.
I have already recorded 8 tracks simultaneously without problems without audible latency. With a good pc in all cases.
The preamp is very transparent, with a beautiful dynamic converters in my opinion very good in the price range. Furthermore it is possible to chain them to multiply the entries.
I recommend using it 24bits/48khz, that's where she gives her best in my opinion even without overloading the computer and then mix in the future.

GETTING STARTED

Quick, simple and hassle free, just like AJ
No inconsistency.
I do not remember the manual ...

OVERALL OPINION

To summarize.
I've always been very happy with this purchase, though a bit expensive at the time (I think she was out at above 800 €).
Very reliable, versatile and transparent.
What's serious.
The price of OCCAZ I have no warning to those who wish to buy.
