What characteristics have motivated your choice?
- The number of inputs / outputs
- 8 preamp
- The price

For what purpose?
- Record home-stud
- Broadcast live multi-instrumentals

What is your config?
- Laptop PC
- Mac mini

With what tools?
- Guitars, basses, synths

UTILIZATION

The drivers are stable? They are often updated?
I made a upd shortly after the acquisition. After I have received anything since I've never had a glitch in 5 years of use.

What software do you use most often?
- Garageband as a suggestion box
- Rec Sonar multitrack + pre-mastering
- Live ... to live (sampling, fx, virtual instrumentals)

How many tracks do you manage to record / playback simultaneously? ...
- 8 tracks rec
- In the mix, it revolves around a 20aine or even 30aine tracks in reading by the projects.

What latency you get?
It is very well managed in this map: 3 or 4 ms without bp rec. In the mix, I put a little sometimes to relieve the perfs of the computer.

GETTING STARTED

RAS

OVERALL OPINION

For how long have you been using it?
I got to her exit (U.S. import).

Did you try many other models before getting this one?
Edirol, M-Audio, Motu

What thing do you like most/least about it?
The pros:
- Sound
- The price (especially today)
- The perfs (latency, stability)
- The 1U
- The number of I / O
- The neutral and dynamic preamp (very good reserve gain). I find them really perfect, very well balanced for use in guitar or bass directly to the treatment and digital simus current downstream. In this context, I actually had bcp + de son struggled with many of preamps + premium. In contrast, for the song I do not like this feature and prefer to use other preamps, this time more typical, with EQ and comp.

The -:
- It lacks a dedicated routing software, handy for live eg. Especially for those like me who uses Ableton and therefore are not really spoiled by the mixing console.
- For a map with all the I / O, a second headphone output was not a luxury.
- The insertion of external effects is not a reality since it occupies an input / output standard. Excellent
