PRO product par excellence, the price is justified if we want quality materials.
I was looking for a pre-amp digital converter for voice recording mainly.
Config: pc xp, 1gig ddr2 ram, 2.4ghz amd (in short a 'small' config.
Connecting via Firewire
UTILIZATION
Installation of drivers, wireless card via the firewire port, and presto you're done.
I mainly use Adobe Audition 1.5 and 3 (tested on two versions without worries) and Cubase LE (again no worries).
I have not tested the multi-view card that I use this mainly for recording voice-overs, was so white. No latency, no breath, nothing was wrong.
Registration tested up to 192 kHz at 24 bits. It peaked!
I also like the DIGICheck software supplied with the card (which works only on products rm), this software offers many tools: spectrum analyzer, recorder, analyzer phase and so on ..
GETTING STARTED
Immediate installation without any problem! 4 months since I use this card I have seen no crash. Stable drivers, no Incompatibility found. However the ownership of certain functions remains delicate as this card can offer routing and configuration. My manual is in English (product purchased outside France) I had to download a PDF version in french on the net. (History, why not I put 9 and 10 <img class="smiley" src="/images/audiofanzine/interface/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt="" /> )
OVERALL OPINION
Use with the last 4 months I tested a Terratec external which I've never shot .. back to the sender.
Like its ease of use when taken in hand, we pass without a problem sampling rate to another, from one input to another etc. ..
Value for money entirely justified and I do it again this choice with your eyes closed, I plan to acquire even a second for use 'salon' as this card also has an optical link and all the connections necessary to use 'salon '. Because this card can be used without being connected to a computer. It can take anywhere seen the format (one of 30ne cm wide by 5 high and 10 deep or less). Its finish is spotless and it smells strong!
In short: is the bullet that card! The really pro stuff for my taste!
