«  The end of the firewire »

Published on 01/29/11 at 01:53
use in studio and mobile Mac (from 10.3) or PC
Connectors jack (2 XLR input only) to win, by saying that it is better to use good jack as it may break inside the Fireface has this happened to me and no way to repair because the small end is jammed into the socket female.
the use of the ADAT connections allows me to improve my digidesign interface (DIGI OO1, or 002) and have a good converter.
I have not yet tested the asservissment by SMPTE or MTC ProTools via the EMR. Fairly stable

UTILIZATION

I use it with ProTools.

GETTING STARTED

Fast, easy only incompatibility I found was with Mac OS 10.2.

OVERALL OPINION

Good, but the price of the occasion by firewire is too high given the gradual disappearance of Firewire and USB output of the model.
When will a version of "sustainable" and "responsible"? : I find it a shame that RME does not propose a processing model in usb firewire and especially the USB version does not have a Firewire input. Short version of the Firewire they will find all the garbage in two or three years? It's scary for the planet.
