I use this sound card for recording analog sound. I plug my Fender Rhodes electric piano line, microphone shure to catch a variety of sounds, vocals, small percussion, guitars ...

Characteristics that motivated my choice it was originally:
- The price, knowing the reputation of TASCAM I went there with eyes closed.
- Multiple choice of recordings, on the front and rear.
- The control knob which allows to walk the playhead to the previous track record.
- Voltmeters that indicate the input level noise
- 2 entries headphones

I used it with an HP Pavilion and Cubase SX that worked well despite recurring message from windows asking me regularly "do not you use as FireOne Sound Card?" He was constantly re-installing the driver .... I inflated the long ... Farewell HP and Windows

UTILIZATION

Today I'm working on a small Mac Book and Imac 27 "i5 ..... it's too happy!
I plug the card that is recognized immediately, no need to install driver, it works from beginning to end is class!
I tested with garage band and more recently Pro Logic .... it's too easy, you part, you play, it does not move in one ear
Sometimes when the input level is a bit strong but I have a little message here, then it was with windows crashing and rebooting live.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it since 2009 and no problems so far.

This is the first that I use but I have friends who are working with other brands ... but I find them a little cheap for the same price

What I like best is the simplicity of use and robustness of the product, she looks Armoured
