UTILIZATION
-At the install, no worries, I have the latest drivers on the site of TC.
-No significant inconsistency, but I made sure to uninstall my previous sound card and verify that the card built into the motherboard was disconnected in the BIOS.
-I must admit, I have a good time to familiarize myself with the software .. not the easiest in terms of monitoring, but it's a good point because it shows qu'ya lot of possibilities.
However the manual does help!
GETTING STARTED
-Good, always because of "one says," I hesitated to buy this card bad echoes the views of the stability of drivers ... I doubt that there were big problems but please, when updates are made, do not continue to say that the drivers are unstable if it is not true!
No worries, therefore for me ... another thing: if you have a P4 with 512 of ram and you put the buffer size to 64 (or below as possible), I think is normal to have concerns for stability ... I put the size at 256 and saw my config it runs very well with 5.9 ms latency I think not really annoying.
I have not tested the number of simultaneous tracks
OVERALL OPINION
Do I like the most? the look .. lol! No. I like the feeling of having a lot of possibilities, again thanks to the monitoring well developed, even with the management of DSP card! It's nice to be back with a compressor, EQ, reverb ... For those who say that the effects are gadgets ... I would like to see with what effects they turn in general! lol. I'm not saying that the effects are extraordinary, but they are very honorable, soft spot for the compressor, because of its ease of use and for "Assimilator" which can be utilile if used well.
Before, I had an Alesis Multimix firewire in here too ... so the stability of the pilots was beginning to get on my nervous system ... and as the preamp is well below.
-I bought it abroad for 420 euros (new) so yes I would definitely do it again this election, unless they offered me a Fireface for the same price? ...
