Little brother to DX15, DX12, and the recently launched DX8, DX5 is a compact model.
Like the rest of the range, DX5 is a coaxial loudspeaker. The choice of a “pure” coaxial configuration (no horn) and acoustic baffling with no side flanks is designed to limit distortion and diffraction.
DX5 is suited to various types of nearfield listening applications including stage monitoring; distributed systems; delay or in-fill for high-power PA systems; as well as for sound reinforcement for small and mid-sized venues in its own right, with or without low frequency reinforcement, and more.
A number of flying and mounting accessories are available as well as dedicated processors depending upon the application. The model features handles on the back. It can be flown or wall-, ceiling- or pole-mounted.
DX5 will be available for shipping in January 2013.
