UTILIZATION

Simple config distortion / gain more available mode
the selector right "gain boost" position, the knob off "level", the knob "gain" takes over since it is only to make the gain on the clear sound!
practice pr push harder and a preamp to overload

SOUND QUALITY

we find the boss quality pr me I used with my bass
the distortion are fat, square, slightly mushy, but very (too) violent for my taste, especially in position 2
or the sound is more square with an addition of harmonic sub ...
I say finally qd sub harmonic, I understand, because pr harmonics require ironing ...
Indeed, we are left with a spit informs spend twelve o'clock on the gain ....
équalo is effective, see drastic ...
regarding the "gain boost" is in my opinion the most interesting on the pedal, it can raise the level of clear sound of the instrument, and to use pr to overload a preamp or recouped the gain difference between a passive and active low, tt winning a little EQ, a mini pre-preamp in short, that can just get 20 Db CLEAR SOUND!!
and this is what I use it exactly!!
integrate ds my pedal board before my SansAmp character, it allows me to attack with my passive bass preamp with mm level and presence with one of my active basses
and allows me to saturate my preamp with an active low

OVERALL OPINION

I had this pedal there is a 10n year, sold and then bought back to the friend to whom I sold it because in the end I missed her
I am quite happy, heads proportionately the atypical nature which I use
So yes, if the opportunity presents itself I would do the mm range

selection is sound, you go up the gain, the output level, and with double qualise potentiomtre acute low.

SOUND QUALITY

Well, it's the Fuzz!
This means you push the gain at least more than half if it's ugly, in fact it is one extreme of the pedals, a HYPER FUZZ in the words of the mark " the boss. " if the gain is pushed there is more sustain, the sound is difficult grate, there must be "clean fingers on the stick" to the rank of clarity. The two fuzz sounds are DIFFERENT, but SETTING THE qualo serious acute is not convincing!

As against the channel booster is trs INTERESTED to attack an overdrive setting SERIES. Whereas it inflates the guitar signal. Besides, it should be noted that even the zero-volume set in this position booster, the output level increases Whereas! Warning your ears!

OVERALL OPINION

Like all BOSS pedals is robust, but if you do not want to bore your listeners should be used sparingly the pedals (which is not a brand of multi-effects well known) because the sound is much too typ to return often in an album or a concert!

Two fuzz, a shade 60s, one with an octave above, very modern and a booster.

UTILIZATION

Super simple rgler, a Volume knob, a double for the tone (treble / bass) and one for the gain.

SOUND QUALITY

I use the Fuzz 2 (octave) and the booster, the fuzz be vintage sense is not great and I prfre a big muff or fuzz face.

I use it with guitars and basses diffrent APRS and have the rgl qualiseur can get out of his really cool, for it must to be careful against the gain, not enough gain and it was a sound flat, no sustain, too much gain and high volume is more feedback than a fuzz. Good for solos, it deviend quickly boring for rhythm.

The booster is really straight forward, even with the gain to a minimum. It really gives my body Tubescreamer.

OVERALL OPINION

I bought occcaz in 2003, compared qualitprix bo, I really like the way the fuzz and 2 booster, before buying it I tried an Ibanez FZ7 possd or a Boss FZ-3, a big muff and a fuzz face. I would do the same choice because of the three modes Different.

Let me first say that there were some great bands in the 90's and some that just utterly destroyed music and it hasn't been able to recover to this day. Many bands used a fuzz pedal for their distortion tones in the 90's and for the most part the guitar tones during this era were just horrible. The two bands that comes to mind are Nirvana and Smashing Punkins. Not only did the two singers of these bands have irritating vocals but their distortion tones were just wretched. Their tone was so bad that the songs style or depression and moodiness or emo of the 90's took terrible vocals and mixed it with terrible guitar tone. It was just a trash can of garbage mess!

I like fuzz pedals in a sparingly sort of way or how the infamous Jimi Hendrix used it. Hitting bar chords over and over again with this pedal is not going to inspiring and will easily get tired quickly. This pedal has a decent fuzz tone but nothing on the Big Muff in my opinion.

SOUND QUALITY

There were three modes to this pedal. You had a Fuzz 1, Fuzz 2, and a Fuzz 3. As you go on the modes the intensity of the fuzz increases. This is much like a regular control knob on the gain channel .The more you give it the more you get kind of thing.

I prefer the third mode of this pedal. It gets kind of booming when you give it a little bit of gain. This third setting or mode reminds me more of the classic style fuzz pedals from the 60's. This pedal works well with any guitar you use. I personally like the way that fuzz pedals and this one sounds with a single coil guitar. So much of the time a single coil guitar doesn't have enough to get a good grind for distortion, but a nice fuzz box will help that guitar get thicker distortion tone. That is when I like to hear a nice fuzz box.

OVERALL OPINION

Boss phased these pedals out back in 1997. So the used market is the only way to go to get this pedal now a days. I have seen these pedals on ebay for about 4130. Not a bad price for a fuzz box but about twice as much as a Electro Harmonics Big Muff. I would say have that money and go out and get a big Muff. The best fuzz box that the world has ever seen.

The Boss FZ-2 is not your standard Fuzz. While it can do those standard tones, it's much more ridiculous. After all, this is the famous pedal that helped take the stoner metal genre into a different level. Listen to groups like Electric Wizard to get an idea as to what I'm referring to. It features five knobs total: a level knob, a tone knob with a smaller knob to adjust the cut/boost frequencies, a gain knob and a three way rotary switch to select between Fuzz I, Fuzz II and Gain Boost.

UTILIZATION

Boss did an awesome job at putting everything inside of this pedal. It's housed in the famous Boss enclsoure, so it should be able to withstand anything you throw at it. The pedal uses a FET bypass which has a little bit of tone suckage, but it won't be much of an issue if you throw it in a true bypass looper. The rotary switch helps make things a bit more versatile, but it's still a ridiculously over the top pedal.

SOUND QUALITY

Fuzz I mode is like a normal aggressive fuzz tone. It's somewhat bland when using it as a normal fuzz, and it's definitely not meant for those lower gain tones. The tone knob with the shaping frequency knob really helps adjust the tone to where you want it. However, most people who get this pedal are mainly looking at the Fuzz II mode. It has this insane sounding speaker ripping kinda tone that can only be describing as ridiculous. Seriously, listen to some Electric Wizard, and you'll get the idea. That's what this pedal is mainly used for, and it excels at this genre like no other pedal out there.

OVERALL OPINION

If you're looking at this pedal for a normal fuzz, I highly recommend checking out a different pedal. However, if you're going for that insane stoner fuzz sound, this is the exact pedal you want. It's so crazy over the top and uncontrollable that it fits in perfectly for the slower downtuned stoner metal genre. Fuzz II is the mode you want, and it's best if you use something like a Sunn O))) or similar amplifier to really get that authentic stoner metal tone.

yeah very simple, the two bands EQ is really good practice (better qu'n knob simple tone found on other bosses and the latest models that FZ did not even Eq ....


SOUND QUALITY

this pedal is pretty much what to worship,
this is not the most characteristic fuzz fuzz cons but it is super dirty and can get out of the fuzz effect base to find his dirty, industrial,
The fuzz is a dirty, Metten in the 12h or 14h to dry or even 9am it's been a good lead his garage rock is what I seek ...
and Mode 2 allows a quite byzarre metal or lead (dry 10h 14h) psychedelic kind helios creed chrome ...

but hey we can make big fuzz in line and everything. keupon it sounds good.
I prefer this to other fuzz pedal or dod digitech, pedal, or even as the grind of dod, this one makes a game really punk but with DARC nia qd same ....
