Analog fuzz 'gate-é' from the very (too?) Wide range of fuzzs proposed by (late) Devi Ever. Old version with two potentiometers. In connection jacks quarter. Alim 9 volt standard. Robust and reliable so far (although careless use!).

UTILIZATION

Rather simple: a footswitch, 2 knobs. The first knob adjusts the volume of the pedal, the second ('Control') allows you to adjust the intensity of the fuzz.
Simple to use, the Hyperion? Yes, at the same time is a bit of a 'one-trick pony' as would our Anglo-Saxon friends ... No versatile in my opinion, but good at what it does, that is to say ( according to some) bury the Big Muff!

SOUND QUALITY

Personally, I use this pedal guitar for two reasons: in combination with other distortions to create a feedback at all-will; or when I need to add a noisy button piercing in the mix (for example, when I play at the tailpiece, above the Nut, etc).
Otherwise, the grain fuzz itself seems a bit too loud and 'over the top' to be truly useful in any situation in which a group play only fuzz. Perhaps a knob 'Tone' tend to solve the problem?
Anyway, spent 50-60%, the Control knob compresses his death, contrary to what the maker claims. May be useful in a situation of solo, just to have a sustain sick? But I'm not a soloist ...
Use agreements other than straights: not recommended except amateurs sound slurry (and I am).

OVERALL OPINION

I use since March 2013. It replaced my Eau Claire Thunder (from Dwarfcraft Devices), which was much too loud in terms of breath (at least through the gate of the Hyperion, you can not complain to this level).
I used a package fuzzs / distortion before ... Eau Claire Thunder, Big Muff, Rat, Pharaoh, Pro Multiwave Distortion, B: Assmaster, Heavy Machine ... overall I was pretty disappointed at the level of transparency all these pedals (at the same time seeking a truly transparent fuzz?), and then I quickly tired of their grain 'too this or that', so I turned to the custom (a Turbo Rat with a clean blend to add the clear signal at will).
In the end, I keep just for its Hyperion extreme side, I sometimes punctuates my game, but in my case, I would not make a reference to pedal much!
