Fuzz pedal of good quality analog TRS uses including Muse Origin of Symmetry or in Smashing Pumpkins Siamese Dream I think. The only difference with the Fuzz Factory green and that is not painted by hand. Otherwise everything is hand made (box polishing, welding ...).
It smells really good work.
UTILIZATION
Well then, we must be honest: this pedal, it has a tendency to undergo it. We do not like the RULES you will, but as you can to what we understand of APRS operation. Zachary Vex says himself in the manual "not to ask questions about the role of potentiometers, as the name he has just described below corresponds to the parameter on which they seem to have the most influence." (Volume, Gate, Compression, gain, Stab). For example, turn up the gain makes the sound more muffled ... (So I think this pedal sounds much better with a mic level output: a gain equal to one has more saturation and you do not lose treble).
It has taken a 9v adapter boss. But pile it works well too, it consumes only 3mA!
SOUND QUALITY
By the cons, it is standard (a requirement to connect to a good guitar with my pacifica 112 is not great, with my Cort G290 much better). Following the rglages was full of sound Different. Good one remains in the fuzz, but they are Varis and really good trs. The absence of a potentiometer of Tone lack a little, sometimes are acute earache. But as the base sound is good rev, so it can be to connect an equalizer INTERESTED behind to really get what you want.
You see the sound of Muse Dead Star? With the appropriate equalization, a Marshall amp, you can get a sound is closer enormment (sisi!). But we can make things quieter too ...
The button allows you to stab out of the strange whistling worthy of Matthew Bellamy. Funny 5 minutes. It's not often use it for musical purposes but may be other people's so ... It's better to avoid too long with ca mumuse to not put you on your life back ...
OVERALL OPINION
I use it for 9 months. pacifica with my 112 I regretted my purchase, the sound was too rough. Since I have my Cort G290 redcouvre this pedal is the one where I had the largest amlioration its changing guitar, it became genial. So: Connect a good guitar on it!!
When you open it, you say "what is the resistors 10-15, transistors and capacitors that I pay $ 180? (I bought it on musictoyz.com). Yeah but it's all handmade, in Boss pedals ca not be much better, and I'm not really sure that the bosses are handmade and individually tested them ... So the report quality prices is a priori better than the pedals produced in large SERIES (helping the dollar rate)
So if you want a pedal with an original and trs good sound, it is an excellent choice!
