I got cake walk sonar home studio 4 a year ago, and i havent been able to use it,

what i need help with is finding out whats wrong, its on a dell inspiron 1300 laptop. i think that my problem could be either that the sound card in the laptop does not support the program, or that i need a midi controller (which i dont have) or it could be both of these things that are preventing my program from working.

If you knoow anything about this, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE reply, i really need advice.

and if anybody knows the problem, could you give me an estimate on how much it would cost to fix?

You should first tell us what you're trying to do with it. midi? recording audio?? etc etc
