OVERALL OPINION

Used for 3 weeks, traction does not pose too much problem against the 2 per CD (see below RM IV and Sample Tank SE) are just (see unusable) exploitable (waiting for the SAV)

I have a good performance trs. I use some plugins rather heavy type Kompakt / Battery2 and Tracktion 2 trs behaves well, no drop-outs, reading records without problem.

OVERALL OPINION

I've had almost the beginners, long before Mackie did Rasht.
This is an excellent app that MRIT attention and unjustly mconnu. It really is the squenceur the home studio. No functionality typically professional and often useless in home studio disturbs the comfort we have with this software that is extremely musical. It gives just want to make music (I am a former Logic). Its only real limitation (but arranged) for the MIDI implmentation which is relatively basic. However, we can have some features supplmentaires thanks plugins "ModulR" (see on the site of KVRAUDIO.com is one of modrateurs Raw Material Software Forum, the former name of the bote that made Tracktion).

In short, it's a super soft to the report quality and unbeatable price with pleasure that I use for all my musical projects. In addition, it is multilingual since version 2.0.8!

Too bad the view is so little below fair play. Having trouble does not mean that the software is bad!

On a mobile centrino with 1GB of RAM and an SD of 4200 rounds without a problem I record 8 tracks simultaneously, without vst and other course.

I use it since September, what I like, that's what I needed to do with:

I have a centrino 1.3 Ghz, 512 RAM, sound card usb edirol UA20.
I have no problem in this config. Note that the final mix plug-in, complete with T2 Mackie is very resource intensive, and when I put one on each track, I was a little short on CPU. However the function of gel tracks ergonomically solves this problem.
Level I stability had only n'ia crash and T2 found a temporary file, in the end, zero loss.

OVERALL OPINION

I use Tracktion since version 1 and version 2 since its inception. I think the current version is stable enough for me to post my opinion. I'm working on T2 5-6 hours a day for 6 months (advantage of not having a job) and I worked on it for over a year before.
Pros: - The "workflow" as they say on KVR, or ergonomics, how to work. This app is the least time consuming of all the ones I used. I can not now use cubase or sonaar. Too hard with these windows in all directions. The new support for control surfaces.
Cons: no partition editor but a piano roll (piano roll).

For me ... The best software for musicians.

as I said everything works nickel inputs, outputs, noon. it's all good with a great sound.
performance ... and it does exactly what is asked of the effects provided are not all that great but mackie just added qq plug on its website that allow better quality to work well.
this setup looks very stable no crashes but one with SampleTank and AmpliTube with a good but I turned a lot of freeware plugs recovered on the net and worries over ...

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for a month and I like its efficiency simplicitée I agree with the other post is THE soft it allows musicians to understand the audio signal path without taking the head for hours configure it, it is very clear, well thought out, and leave time to devote himself to the point ... music.
I have logic which is a gas plant with a darker environment ...
