Qu-Bit Electronix is now accepting pre-orders for its Nebulae granular synth and audio player module in Eurorack format.
First product launched by US-based Qu-Bit Electronix, Nebulae is a Eurorack module with an open source design. The audio player and granular OSC uses sound files as sources to create loops, melodies, drones, pads and textures. The module ships with a sample library designed specially for Nebulae and installed on a flash memory. You can also play WAV, AIFF, FLAX and OGG files from a USB drive.
Multiple connections and controls on the module allow for pitch tracking (1V/octave) and more, and you can control all the parameters via MIDI. The manufacturer adds that the DSP engine was coded using CSound.
Nebulae should begin shipping starting the end of the month, and you can pre-order it now for $429 at www.qubitelectronix.com.
