i just purchased a tascam US122 and the mic i got for it is fine but i have to yell really loudly for it to even pick up anything...everything is turned up loudly too...my computer is an athlon 2400+..it should work fine..suss me thanks

could the microphone require phantom 48v power? if so you need to turn it on, or purchase a phantom box or mic pre.
