Thread no sound from umx controller in sonar

I'm a complete novice so i don't know if I've missed the obvious but...

i plugged in my controoler via usb & when I hit notes the taskbar keyboard lights up, but I can't hear anything. The demo file in sonar plays so I do have sound, just not from the controller.

What am I missing?

Take a look at the Sonar guide. You have to set up a virtual instrument track to play the midi data you're generating in the controller.
