First off, Sorry for the stupid questions all of the sudden. I'm trying to teach myself Cakewalk after being a Pro-tools engineer for the past 5 years or so.
I don't use midi, I've had very little experience with it in the studio, I'm more of an audio guy and that's all I'll be using cakewalk for here at home.
Anyway, I just want to set up a simple click track to play along to. I can get the metronome to play through my PC speaker, but I can't even hear that thing.
In Pro-tools it was as simple as creating an auxillary track, inserting the click plugin, setting the project tempo and meter, and click volume/tone. I can't get anything to go here. Can someone please help walk me through a simple click track on Home Studio 2XL?
Thanks again, I'm sure more dumb questions will follow.

Mac-
I'd probably just bring up the DXi synth, select a drum kit, and use a rim shot.
