Hi there, appreciate this may be asked a thousand times a day, but any help would be greatly appreciated...

I want to be able to take some samples of string instruments and create simple orchestral backing with them. What is the best programme for this, I presuming a sequencer is what is needed. Is there software when I can actually write the music and have it play the samples (ie a virtual keyboard/sampler?).

If anyone can point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it greatly...
