Topic Am I right?
I'm starting a home PC studio, and was going to buy (I have £450)

Cakewlk Home Studio XL
Edirol UA-20 or UA-3FX Soundcard/interface
Edirol MA-10A Monitors

my PC is 2.6Ghz, XP, 120Gig, 516RAM

Am I making a mistake, with this stuff?? can anyone suggest anything better??

I know I can't do this with the gear I'm thinking of buying but your opinion would be of interest.
I would love to be able to record 6/8 tracks at the same time, Gitx2,bass,Vocals,and use a sub mixer for the full drum kit, what's a cheap/good way of doing this please?

That's $737.98. Based on todays exchange rates (the weak dollar is helping you out, buddy!), 450 pounds is equal to $819 US.

You have $89 left to buy cables with...... ;)
