Corto Axeman
Published on 08/16/03 at 15:01
2 x 30 band eq + / - 12 dB
Jack Connections (no XLR) and SPDIF (I DEQ230D version)
Midi In / Out / Thru
1U 19 '
UTILIZATION
Super simple: you select the frequency or frequencies, and boost or cut with the buttons up and down ...
Bypass button
30 user presets, 30 factory presets.
English manual pretty damn
I installed it in the following string: Triaxis -> Triple-C Compressor -> DEQ230 -> Eclipse -> Amp
SOUND QUALITY
In analog connections, converters are good, they do not distort the sound.
And eq works well
Small regret: latency (less than 1 sec) when changing program ... A little annoying in a guitar rack used to spillover effects ...
OVERALL OPINION
I bought it despite the advice and comments kinder_guano ... I can paraitrent justified. Therefore it is essential to purchase the DEQ203D.
This brings the "D"? € 100 more expensive, and in addition to a digital connection and a Real Time Analyzer, Version "D" is used to select the MIDI channel on which the animal is going to work ..
And that's why I think our friends have not installed Alesis MIDI implementation.
Indeed, it can work very well for guitar (which is my case), by assigning it to a specific channel, and having a foot which accepts multi MIDI channels (type Berhinger FCB1010 or Rocktron All Access).
