Tech 21 introduces their SansAmp Character series which consists of five different pedals: Blonde, British, California, Liverpool and VT Bass.
They’re designed to bring the feel of specific amp personalities into a pedal format. They range from rare vintage to modern standards. Each pedal focuses on a particular amp style.
Tech 21: “The legendary crunch of British steel and Greenback-style speakers delivers searing blues to UK anarchy from this Anglo-voiced pedal. Tough Bluesbreaker overdrive, the throaty roar of a Plexi or the ballsy smack-down of a ‘70s Metalface, it all adds up to a well tasty spot o’ bovver*, Brit-style”.
Each can be used as a stand-alone pre-amp to drive a power amp, a studio mixer, or a PA system. They can also be used as a stompbox with an amplifier. The Character series features built-in speaker simulation, 3-band active EQ, Drive and Level controls, and completely analog circuitry.
